Argentinian but Barcelona-based, nueen has been crafting some very particular sound drifts through a luminescent and recurring warm atmosphere, endlessly fluidic and delicate pads, recombining rhythms where multiple temporalities are juxtaposed. 
Over the years, he has developed a highly personal style –profoundly intimate yet immediately giving onto distant space-times. His dub-ambient embroiled sound has been released on labels such as Good Morning Tapes, Quiet Time, Balmat and APPX. 
His mix released today as part of our series is a very good example of his versatility mixing tons & very different paths all together. Completely fan of this epizode!  Merci Nacho x

3. Model Stress -  Scandal (BW01)

On this episode of F.B.I. Pathology Report, we explore the infamous Hungerford Massacre, 1987, UK.

In the morning of August 19, 1987, 27-year-old Michael Ryan (born May 18, 1960) went on a killing spree of 16 people (15+ injured), including his own mother and an unarmed police officer,  Ryan later turned his gun on himself and was found dead by the police, inside the local school he used to study as a child.

Witnesses spoke of a heavily armed man in combat gear, using 2 semi-automatic rifles, an M1 Carbine and Beretta Pistol, opening fire without warning. Some of the witnesses also referred to him looking like "Rambo".

The Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 was passed following a report that had been commissioned by Home Secretary Douglas Hurd.

No firm motive for the killings has been established.

"Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" by The Smiths was not released in the UK as a single due to the Hungerford Massacre. Morrissey stated to Len Brown in 1988, mentioning the line about mass murder on the track "They said (Radio One) people would've instantly linked it with Hungerford and it would've caused thousands of shoppers to go out and buy machine guns and murder their grandparents."

Leer Ansturm is the moniker of JHP (John Philippakis, London, UK b. 1986) who also plays as YOUTH MOUNTS THE BARRICADE and CONCRETE STARS with more to follow soon. The project has been active since 2014. Based in London, UK, LEER ANSTURM is an ambient audiovisual exploration of an empty post-industrial totality. 

LEER ANSTURM’s most recent LP ‘Necropolitan And The Stature Of Space’  is available to purchase via SPAREORGAN records (USA) in both physical and digital formats.
Currently JHP is working on his on publishing company Editions ηρ (named after the Myth of Er) soon to release his first photography book on SPAREORGAN and more new sound projects to come.

Copies of the Editions ηρ 002, a photobook and in depth interview with Jim Mroz are available for purchase from The Photographers Gallery Bookshop and Claire De Rouen books physical store, both in London, UK.

Influences are too many to mention, but STARS OF THE LID – ‘PER ASPERA AD ASTRA’ will be very difficult to dislodge as his favourite record.

Richard Chartier (b.1971) is a Los Angeles based artist, considered one of the key figures in minimalist sound art. Chartier’s works explore the inter-relationships between the spatial nature of sound, silence, focus, perception, and the act of listening itself. Chartier’'s sound works/installations have been presented in galleries and museums internationally and he has performed his work live across Europe, Japan, Australia, and North America at digital art/electronic music festivals and exhibits. In 2000 he formed the recording label LINE and has since curated its continuing documentation of compositional and installation work by international sound artists/composers exploring the aesthetics of contemporary and digital minimalism.
