Uno de los mayores activistas y exponentes musicales de la escena madrileña desde principios de los noventa, siendo uno de los artistas musicalmente más activos e inquietos desde sus inicios sin querer encasillar ni establecer limitaciones entre géneros o estilos musicales. Siempre entendiendo la música como un TODO.

Obsesionado con la música y el cine desde niño, con todo tipo de géneros y estilos, comenzó su andadura como casi todo el mundo en aquella época; cortando y pegando canciones en cintas, hasta descubrir el mundo de los tocadiscos, el turntablism y scratching. Durante todo este tiempo, Luis a estado comprando y coleccionando vinilos, y, por lo que nos cuenta, está decidido a seguir ampliando su colección un par de décadas más. Dj y promotor desde el '93, ha sido pieza fundamental en muchos eventos caracterizados por el eclecticísmo, la huida de las modas y el encasillamiento. Se ha convertido en un referente importante en la difusión de diferentes estilos de música en la capital española. Sound City, A.I. Series, K4PHREX, Oberheinm, Electro Frequencies, Slow Motion, Round Nature & Zyrcadian Editions son algunos de los eventos más importantes en los que Luis ha estado involucrado. Cultivando y desarrollando de forma paralela el noble arte de pinchar en salas como Siroco, Café La Palma, Ballesta Club, Hangar Club, Specka y muchos otros en todo el país.

En 2020 lanza su sello, @art_intelligence_records, un claro homenaje a la memorable serie Warp. Su principal vocación será la de rendir un sincero y sentido homenaje a los pioneros de principios de los '90, artistas y productores del sonido Bleep y pioneros del Braindance e IDM. También es la otra mitad detrás del sello @zyrcadianeditions, que ya cuenta en su catálogo con artistas como Rise Black, Visonia y Antonio.

forms of minutiae presents 'live at kwia’, a fragment of a recorded electroacoustic performance by field recordist and artist @pablodiserens

Amid winter, on one of the last nights of 2021, a group of people gather in the welcoming womb of a listening bar. Bordered by tiled walls and embraced by a simulated fog, cradled listeners soon forgo outer fluctuations. From a distance, dogs’ barks and bats’ calls reverberate into the space, Pablo Diserens’ concert has begun. What unfolds next is a weaving of biophonic field recordings with hums of blown and stroke glass bottles. The emerging electroacoustic ecoscape oscillates between animal stridulations and Helmholtz resonances. Wavering wind pulses and mirroring clangs intertwine with ultrasonic drones bringing the audience into oneiric realms. Ants, grasshoppers, and crickets infuse the room with vespertine warmth. Windows ooze with condensation. Winter seems far, as if morphed into a balmy summer night. A new landscape materializes, birthed by the set of frequencies at play. Buccal air gently throbs in and out of the glass vessels in glistening gestures. Pablo blows into their empty bottles one last time before handing the stage to a sizzling underwater mixture of rain drops and insectean accents. 

The recorded fragment stops here, yet, that night, the formed sonic window into this temporary landscape pursued its course. The auditory encounters that followed now only exist in the hazy memories of wintertide listeners.

Who else in October than Octobird. Alias Loom alias Kinskop, the driving force behind the legendary Various Vegetables radioshow. Octobird had a lot of brilliant releases on different labels. One for Zanderhythm as Kinskop, recently he also put out music on Pr0gramma.He is a music lover check his mixes on his soundcloud also he writes about music in a quit entertaining style on his website.Ages ago David Firth took one of his trax for an animation but thats another story.This mix aims to bring some peace into our disturbed minds, so stare out of the window if you still have one.

Node co-runs @gatedrecordings with his childhood friend Jadey. While he resides in Japan and Jadey in the UK they have been putting out as much high quality music as they can find from the best up and coming artists, primarily within the realms of electronic music and often experimenting outside the boundaries of specific genres. 

For this mix Node has assembled some tracks from Gated’s latest compilation ‘Triangle’s Peak’, plus one from the new spacey, techy EP by Taupe, 'Rootless', out now on their Bandcamp. Not to mention one from Dip Shim's new album out Dec 16th and available to pre-order on Juno records at the moment. On top of that there are a few favorite braindancey or spacey ones too from other artists held in high regard. Just good music!

J. Mono twists our sense of time again, coming up with the third installment of his ‘Redate’ series on Dalmata Daniel: an elegant selection of uncut tracks, roaming in the fields of electro, acid, IDM and EBM. Redate III in its digital format presents tracks that were written and recorded between 2014 and 2015. As the cassette version, it includes not only Redate III (as side A), but a collection of J. Mono’s various other tracks created between 2017 and 2021, that appeared beforehand on various compilation albums (as side B). In other words, with this fresh new tape you’re all set with 8 years of J. Mono experience.

Richard Chartier (b.1971) is a Los Angeles based artist, considered one of the key figures in minimalist sound art. Chartier’s works explore the inter-relationships between the spatial nature of sound, silence, focus, perception, and the act of listening itself. Chartier’'s sound works/installations have been presented in galleries and museums internationally and he has performed his work live across Europe, Japan, Australia, and North America at digital art/electronic music festivals and exhibits. In 2000 he formed the recording label LINE and has since curated its continuing documentation of compositional and installation work by international sound artists/composers exploring the aesthetics of contemporary and digital minimalism.
