For 2016 year of the monkey, Do Hits and our friends have a special gift in store for you. Time to say goodbye to shitty TV shows and CNY-themed supermarket music. We have been secretly producing some fresh new sound with Spring Festival vibes, which we’re sure that even your Chinese aunties would love. We have gathered sons and daughter of dragon, as well as some laowai producers based in China. They will be narrating many stories and tales of China, sampling real life in this country. What you are going to hear is lions and dragons, fireworks and crackers, drums and gongs of Chinese New Year.

Morning Drumwork

Mono/Poly’s tune was originally for an emcee but never got used until recently on his new project “The Union EP" with singer Alyss.  The version on this Serato record is different, instrumental and a real banger.

“My Friends Make Music Too" is a collaboration between Serato and Lefto dropping on Valentine's day (February 14). It contains dancefloor ready tracks for deejays who don’t play the obvious bangers. 
All productions are exclusive to this project and I am really happy I can share my friends' great productions with you.

About the album
Are you ready for magic? The master musicians Daniel Carter, Matthew Shipp, William Parker and Gerald Cleaver will provide access with this album, the first they have released after playing together for decades. 

Daniel Carter has been collaborating with William Parker since the early 70s and with Matthew Shipp starting in the mid 80s. This trio has played together on many recordings but by adding legendary drummer Gerald Cleaver to the mix they have created a masterpiece combination; a supergroup of sorts. This all-star project is presented in two parts/LPs. This is the first volume - with volume two scheduled to be published in the near future.
