Love of poetry, song, and humanity has guided me through a thirty year career in music, never so blessed than by the company of the HOME PORT female singers, alto Meirav Eytan and soprano Christina Kay, and by contributing instrumentalists, pianist Hunter Gibson, electric guitarist Chad Walsh, and percussionist Chris Howard.
     
HOUSE OF TOMORROW is the title track and single from this upcoming 2017 release.  The song name hails from mystical writer Kahlil Gibran's most well known work, The Prophet.  I chose to incorporate his 'prophet's' perspective on children for the song's lyric.  The women of HOME PORT keep an intense dialogue in the verses and we sing the ever-evolving choruses as a united trio.
     
Additional songs (solos, female duets, and trios) will be released monthly throughout 2017, a chance to share HOME PORT's embracing vision and sound with the world in savoring doses.  Thank you for celebrating the beginnings of HOUSE OF TOMORROW's journey.

Richard Padrón is a composer and guitarist residing in New York since 2003.  Originally from Cuba, Richard grew up in Miami before moving to New York.  As a composer and producer he has several commercially released tracks ranging from indie-pop to contemporary classical music.  He has also scored several short films to date.
