The Witcher 3 OST: The Witcher's Path

This is the same arrangement as previous versions with drums back in -- just less of them. Some volume and panning tweaks. Trying to go easy on the EQ but might have to dive back in to master this on a few different speakers/headphones.

The objective was to make this song less heavy than the "Power of Virtue" version, pull the reverb way back and give it a more traditional feel, while still retaining elements of epic fantasy. Female vocals are a placeholder intro/outro idea. Not necessary, but I felt it was a nice touch that further unites the songs.

Caverns Of Doom

This song is slightly more "orchestrated" than most of the rest of my tracks for Shroud of the Avatar, but it kind of made sense in this one.  "Building and Fortifying" a city is definitely a planned, orchestrated process, so making this track sound like it was being played by a small group in a tavern or something didn't quite give it the "We are building something big and solid" sort of feel that I wanted.  The motif here is I play a few slow and solid melodies in the beginning, separately from each other without much accompaniment.  Then, I break in to a "bridge" that builds in intensity to simulate the building process.  Then, I play the melodies that started the track at the same time to present the feeling that everything is now "assembled".  In my head it works, so hopefully everyone else likes it as well.  :-)

This track is a collaboration between Jarrod Kailef and myself. Kailef wrote the violin melody and made several decisions in regards to the form, flow and energy of the piece. I contributed to the composition, recording, and production of the track.

I tried to make this track both a little atmospheric and "creepy" sounding since it will be played among ruins and such.  However, since it's also a combat song, I worked hard to give it a urgent, aggressive feel as well.  I hope you like it.

A collection of ambient background music showcasing various scenarios and environments from the vast ocean to outer space.

Jungle Depths

This track was created for Duke Gréagóir's player-owned island town, Duchy of Dara Brae, in Shroud of the Avatar. The town is known for having the only custom Yew Tree in Novia. It  is named after this tree as Dara Brae roughly translates to "tree on the slope of a hill."

The music is Celtic-inspired featuring bagpipes, violins, an Irish penny whistle, and vocals sung by Sharm.
