This song was officially inspired by the voice of "Sharmie". I worked on mixing it finally. If you liked the old version I hope this one is better mixed for you. :) Feel free to leave a like or comment. This song was going to be submitted for the "Travel Map" song entitled "Hail Novia" but unfortunately someone submitted to the opening before me. Perhaps sometime in the future it can be used in the expansion or another video.

The Virtue Of Truth - "Hail Novia" music submission

My latest submission for Shroud of the Avatar.  I envision this song working for the "Long Roads to Nowhere" track.

I wrote it to sort of portray a feeling of motion that isn't getting you anywhere.  Running on a treadmill, wandering roads that lead nowhere, lost in the desert, etc.  So, I think it's a good fit.  It has a great "movement" feel with no resolution.

This is the same arrangement as previous versions with drums back in -- just less of them. Some volume and panning tweaks. Trying to go easy on the EQ but might have to dive back in to master this on a few different speakers/headphones.

The objective was to make this song less heavy than the "Power of Virtue" version, pull the reverb way back and give it a more traditional feel, while still retaining elements of epic fantasy. Female vocals are a placeholder intro/outro idea. Not necessary, but I felt it was a nice touch that further unites the songs.

This track is a collaboration between Jarrod Kailef and myself. Kailef wrote the violin melody and made several decisions in regards to the form, flow and energy of the piece. I contributed to the composition, recording, and production of the track.

Volga Sea Shanty

This track was created for Duke Gréagóir's player-owned island town, Duchy of Dara Brae, in Shroud of the Avatar. The town is known for having the only custom Yew Tree in Novia. It  is named after this tree as Dara Brae roughly translates to "tree on the slope of a hill."

The music is Celtic-inspired featuring bagpipes, violins, an Irish penny whistle, and vocals sung by Sharm.
