In the recent past, while blogging about the direction of the Democratic Party, I made a point that still rings true—we’ve got to look to younger voters if we want to win in 2028 and beyond. That same principle applies to the work we do here at the Blue Wave Revival Band. If we’re serious about change, we’ve got to evolve with the next generation and meet them where they are—musically, emotionally, and politically. That’s exactly what I set out to do with my newly composed song, *"Hey, it’s Rick Gaspa."* It’s fresh, bold, and a little different—but still rooted in the passion and purpose that drive everything we do. Children, on their knees, praying in church… and still, they were gunned down. Others critically injured. And as I watched the heartbreaking images unfold, I couldn’t hold it back — the lyrics poured out of me, shaped by the pain and heartbreak I was witnessing.

🎵 That pain became “On Their Knees” — a song written for the children we’ve lost, the parents left broken, and the communities forever scarred. It’s a plea. It’s a cry. It’s a demand for action.
“Enough! Not one more school killing.” We cannot stay silent. We cannot normalize this.
While Republicans remain in the pocket of big gun manufacturers and Democrats still aren’t pushing hard enough against the gun lobby, we, the people, must rise up.
