Première partie (1 à 3), à domicile, en Alsace.
Deuxième partie (4 à 6), à Madrid jusqu’au jour de mes quarante ans. 

Jamais auparavant je n’avais fêté mon anniversaire à l’étranger. Jamais auparavant je n’avais fait de la musique en nomade — avec pour seuls outils mon MacBook et le micro de mon téléphone portable. « Juste avant d’avoir quarante ans », comme la plupart de mes enregistrements, est une sorte de journal intime sonore, en forme d’hymne d’adieu à la trentaine, à ce que cette décennie représentait pour moi, en termes d’identité, d’enjeux et de positionnements relationnels.

I was really happy to take part in Noods’ Sporecast Radio – a day of programming celebrating World Mushroom Day on the 15th of October, and also dedicated to the late DJ Mooncup (an amazing soul who knew so much about fungi of all kinds🧡)

Noods asked me to put together an ambient mix to start the day’s broadcast at 7am. The mix I made tells the story of mycelium under the earth slowly waking up and sprouting into beautiful mushrooms. Finding a mushroom sprouting out of the ground is always something I find exciting, and I wanted to capture that feeling in this mix 🍄🌿

In so many ways mushrooms are the future - they can break down plastics and toxic substances, help heal physical and psychological conditions, communicate with trees, provide a sustainable & healthy food source, grow eco-friendly alternatives to leather and packaging, operate as natural pesticides, and so much more - here’s to mushrooms!

A Dance Beneath the Autumn Moon

Introduction in English:

A good thirty years ago I had a partner who had strict Catholic parents. She had four brothers who married in the strict Catholic spirit during the time we were together. 
I loved the free, unbridled, wild dancing at that time. But at those weddings, any passion was contained in a rigid religious call-and-dance ceremonial.   
My "salvation" was Bosza, a Croatian woman overflowing with warmth, cordiality and impetuous liveliness. She was the wife of my then partner's uncle, who himself had fled to Berlin decades ago from the all-suppressing Catholic morality.
And with Bosza I danced half the night away at the weddings. Most people hated us for it. But we were passionate soul mates.
After I separated from my former partner, I lost sight of Bosza for the last ten years. 
Until I received a year ago over a brother of my ex-partner by WhatsApp the message that Bosza had died with not even seventy years. 
When I received this news, I had to cry spontaneously. And out of this sadness, but also out of gratitude for the great living time together at the otherwise dead weddings, this tribute to this wonderful woman was created. A woman who burned from both ends of the candle, and like most who do, do not grow very old.
