In our most private moments, we have often thought of Multi Culti as an educational enterprise: as you listen to our music and stare at our artwork, you are absorbing information in a way that might conceivably be defined as "learning." Our latest release brings this theoretically reasonable fantasy one step closer to fruition, as we welcome Hamburg-based musician and composer Andi Otto (Ph.D) to our roster of artists.

A deep listening experience focused on repetition and timbre, Bow Wave was made using rare and unique instruments such as a special sensor bow for cello (and other string instruments) known as the “Fello,” which Otto developed during his residencies at the STEIM research centre in Amsterdam.The album also features vocals from award-winning Indian playback singer, actor, and TV anchor M.D. Pallavi, a frequent Otto collaborator, recorded while the two were touring Japan.

The digital edition of Bow Wave includes 10 tracks, while the eight-track vinyl adds remixes by Ecuadorian folklorica wizard Nicola Cruz and Parisian “adult disco” purveyor Golden Bug, both of which will be released separately in a digital remix pack alongside reworks from Brazil's Ricardo Vincenzo and Norway's Center of the Universe. You are free to purchase all of them.

We got some pure, dark, organic, worldly sounds with a bunch of psychedelic interpretations from masters like Ali Kuru, Richard Rossa, beside the label-newcomers Son & Nasiri. Ali Kuru puts a fantastic Turkish hypno-funk twist to his interpretation, and makes it a crazy psych-disco banger, while Richard Rossa is taking a slow, hypnotic dub-minimal approach. 
Nasiri, a traditional Sufi musician ads his fantastic sets of live-instruments, like the Oud and Flute, to the original sounds and evolves the track in into a organic, epic and magic journey. 
Mexian born SÒN also spice things up with an organic and pumping tech-vibe. All this makes for an absolutely BOMB release. About time to get this in orbit! <3 <3

Carrot Green - Sinos Sina, comes in two versions, first up in its Original mix. This brooding groovy deep slab of electronic filth flows wonderfully, building with its dark underbelly of an acidic bassline, caressed with some discordant chimes and a menacing computerised vocal that adds further depth and mystery.

The Deep Mix, slows down the tempo and adds and eerie melodic tinge to proceedings, but keeps all of the wonkiness.

Psycho Weazel is a duet based in the beautiful medieval city of Neuchâtel, and let’s not forget that Neuchâtel, despite her wise reputation, was also the very first rave scene of Switzerland in the early 90s. Ivo and Leo aka Psycho Weazel won’t tell you more about it since those young music producers were not even born then! At 23 years old, they are the new sap of the Swiss electronic scene but this EP - which is their fifth release - already shows a surprising maturity. “Ascensao Ao Outro Mundo” and “Marumba”, the two original tracks, illustrate the richness of their music: dark electro textures and Italian disco groove on one side, melodies fed by Latin American and African influences on the other. “Ascensao Ao Outro Mundo” with its long intro that plays on the nerves of the dance floor before exploding in fireworks beats, has for instance also inspired two remixes particularly relentless, by two old European electro wolves. The American-berliner, Curses, and the duet based in Switzerland, In Flagranti, both twisted in their own way the hedonistic message of the original track towards something more perverse and nervous.

An album comprising of Melodic, Emotional, Pop-not-pop Tracks, bringing fresh layers of feeling, from warmth, and passion to sentimentality and sorrow.

The remix package takes 3 tracks from the album to create a Limited-Edition Vinyl Sampler that goes down to the basement with two remixes from Brazilian rising star Carrot Green aka Carlos Gualda & Norwegian golden boy and unassailable don of space-disco Prins Thomas. Carrot Green transforms the track ‘Ou Pas’ into a brooding, Brazilian acid monster.
