Está claro que la industria tiene prejuicios a la hora de aceptar o no a un artista emergente. Así muchas veces como parte de una estrategia editorial se lanzan referencias con nombres genéricos, no identificables, pero que a posteriori y a través de sus redes, van desvelando. Así en un primer impacto, al oyente, no se le da una información que pueda prejuiciar su previa escucha, o no... es una fórmula más...

'Welcome to the 12th edition of our ongoing Breaking New Soil series, featuring both new and established talent once again. First up is our good friend Harvey McKay, who graced the label last year with his seminal Forest EP - his new track Borderline is another trademark Harvey production, guaranteed to set dancefloors on fire! Next up we have Phyrgian from Colombia. Gregor played his track Tarot" in almost every set last year, so we are very happy to have him on board with Mansalva, another über-hypnotic Techno excursion - imagine to hear this at a dark, packed warehouse rave - pure fire! Next up are Mario Hammer and The Lonely Robot - known for their eclectic releases on Traum and Cocoon. They handed in 13 degrees, remixed by Harald Björk. It´s one of those tracks that - when dropped at the right moment, will take dancers on a journey and leave them with a smile on their faces. Last but not least we are very happy to have some original music by Lad, who is know in the business as one of the finest mastering engineers. Hailing from Geneva, he surprised us with this phenomenal techno track, that takes no prisoners but will start a riot on the dancefloors for sure. This is Breaking New Soil!'

The spanish producer drops here two original cosmic and dancefloor tracks mainly inspired by New Wave, Melodic House or Trance. Sometimes, the vocals and percussions cut the rolling basslines. And breaks are out of time ! The first remix by our french buddy Brandski is the perfect vintage remix, inspired by EBM or Italo. The New Wave vocals are highlighted thanks to beautiful pad and lead and a groovin’ retrobass !The UK based producer LA MANO is back too. And he drops a great melodic remix with an incredible deep bass, making the song haunting and melancholier than the original. For the heart, but also for the feet !

Scotland has long been a hot bed for underground electronic music; they really know their stuff up there and plying their trade longer than most are respected DJs and promoters Steve Cass & Justin Wilson with their No Strings Attached parties. Now in their 20th year the list of guests appearing alongside them is endless and the longevity of NSA is down to them constantly pushing their sound and bringing back the artists they personally like to hear. Based in Galashiels, south of Edinburgh the duo use a small basement in their local football club with a capacity of only 120. Guests have included Andrew Weatherall, Slam, Ivan Smagghe and Justin Robertson and they have also hosted numerous parties in the Scottish capital including A Love From Outer Space.  NSA never stick to one genre expect; anything from weird disco to techno and the odd classic thrown in with this fine mix for us.

They currently run their popular club night between 2 venues in Edinburgh busy Cowgate area. For the podcast they prefer to try and select tracks that will hopefully stand the test of time and encourage listeners to return time after time rather than only playing the latest tracks or sticking to current music trends - so have a listen and look them up if you're in Scotland!
