Formed in Chicago in 2001, OL is the triad of Spencer Lokken, Bethany Lokken and Ben Silver. This versatile trio has rocked dance floors from Hawaii to Maine with their eclectic mixes, from sunset chill-out to bass-dropping e-funk, and an array of other futuristic sounds. Theirs is a democratic mission: to expose as many people as possible to the artists they admire and respect. What sets Orchard Lounge apart from other club DJs is that you won't always find them in the club. They've built a reputation as a relentless festival and touring act, often performing live shows with visual artists. Not to dismiss their roots, they've played alongside heavyweights like John Talabot, Matthew Dear, Gigamesh, Aeroplane, Bonobo, DJ Krush, Lindstrom, DJ T, Jamie Jones, Booka Shade, Metro Area, and Maya Jane Coles. They've also had the rare pleasure of performing for thousands at world famous venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Hammerstein Ballroom, and Pritzger Pavillion at Millennium Park.

When they're not in the DJ booth, you'll find this musically obsessed crew in the studio. Always looking to experiment with different sounds and studio techniques, what the fans can expect is a unique amalgamation of sounds, from heady ambient sleepers to four on the floor dance floor destroyers.  Despite their affinity for live music, OL's focus hasn't shifted since the group's inception: to provide sophisticated and stylish DJ sets that are appropriate in a variety of settings...

GDP + Space Jesus = #$ (Hash Money)

Two long-time friends have officially taken a step outside of their perceived comfort zones to form a collaborative effort known as #$ (Hash Money). Comprised of GDP - a Jersey bred emcee with a reputation as a versatile, quick witted wordsmith and Space Jesus - a Brooklyn-based electronic producer whose signature production style and engaging live show have piqued the interests of artists and fans alike. Merging their unique styles ever so seamlessly, this innovative duo creates a refreshingly original take on hip-hop, better described as bass-hop.

Their self titled Smokers Cough debut is an 8-track EP that features co-production by Hot Sugar and Shape along with Chippy Nonstop and Space Jesus blessing the mic. The result is a genre-defying commentary on popular music; timeless hip hop ethos juxtaposed with more bass-driven instrumental elements.

The music video for #$'s first single "Right Now" was premiered by  Do Androids Dance and features a cameo from Marc Brownstein of the Disco Biscuits. 
Following with their second offering from the album is a track that cleverly mocks the raunchy pop star Miley Cyrus, titled "Molly Cynus." The Dankles notes how "this quirky combination of raw and assertive artists [also] features Chippy Nonstop and Shape to back up verses from GDP and the gut wrenching beat ebbing forth from Space Jesus’ decks."

Vibe Magazine premiered the latest single "Good Rumors" as a free download, building hype before the release of their self-titled debut released on Brooklyn imprint Smokers Cough on June 16th.
