For my first of monthly mixes I wanted to start with something that I love more than showering regularly:  Japanese Anime and Otaku culture.  

I proudly introduce to you "ありがとうリチー船長!!" , "Hooray Captain Richie"  in English.  The phrase is from one of my favorite Animes "One Piece".  

 For this mix I only used songs from my favorite Anime shows, some are classic some are recent, so if you're an Otaku head like me then get ready flip the f*ck out.The cool thing about Anime is that the writers get these super famous Japanese pop stars to write the theme songs. It would be the equivalent of Katy Perry doing the Family Guy theme. Even if you aren't familiar with J-Pop, give this a listen, the melodies and chord structures used in J-Pop are amazingly catchy yet so diverse. This type of composition is something that American Pop shies away from these days. Hope you dig it!
