Efdemin 또는 필립 솔만은 베를린을 기반으로 하는 DJ, 프로듀서 및 작곡가입니다. 그는 하우스와 테크노 모두에 대한 깊고 사이키델릭하며 독특한 세계관으로 알려져 있습니다. 필립은 다양한 레이블에서 수많은 12인치 음반을 발표했으며, dial records에서 세 장의 앨범을 발표한 뒤 2019년에는 Ostgut Ton에서 네 번째 앨범을 발표했습니다. 그는 Berghain에서 장기간 거주하며 활동하고 있습니다. 그는 Depeche Mode, Moby, Area Negrot, Herbert, Max Richter, Tadeo 또는 Orlando Voorn 등 다양한 아티스트들의 리믹스를 수행했습니다. 자체 레이블인 naïf에서는 Nina Kraviz, Jeroen Search, Alter Ego 등 다양한 아티스트들의 음악을 발표했습니다. 'Modular Organ System' 프로젝트는 Konrad Sprenger와의 협업으로, CTM Festival 2022에서 대규모 사운드 설치로 선보였으며, Kali Malone, Stephen O’Malley, Ellen Arkbro 등과 함께 공연되었습니다. 그는 현대앙상블 Musikfabrik과의 작품 "Monophonie"를 위해 협력했으며, 2019년에는 Zafraan 앙상블에게 의뢰받았습니다.

Efdemin aka Phillip Sollmann is a DJ, producer and composer based in Berlin. He is known for his deep, psychedelic, and idiosyncratic take on both house and techno. Phillip has released numerous 12”s on various labels, three albums on dial records followed by a fourth one on Ostgut Ton in 2019. He holds a long running residency at Berghain. Sollmann has remixed Depeche Mode, Moby, Area Negrot, Herbert, Max Richter, Tadeo or Orlando Voorn to name a few. On his own label naïf, Phillip Sollmann has released music by Nina Kraviz, Jeroen Search and Alter Ego, among many others. The project ‘Modular Organ System’ is a collaboration with Konrad Sprenger and was presented as a large scale sound installation at CTM Festival 2022, including performances with Kali Malone, Stephen O’ Malley and Ellen Arkbro and others. Sollmann has worked with the contemporary Ensemble Musikfabrik for his composition „Monophonie“ and was commissioned by the Zafraan Ensemble in 2019.
Live performances with the Trio Ambarchi/Sollmann/Sprenger, the drone-band PNIN (with Nika Son) and the improv duo with John Guertler consume the rest of his spare time between gigs and studio work.

GERD DJ SET @ PANORAMA BAR BERLIN 02-09-2012

An improvised and mostly unrehearsed three turntable Techno throw-down, performed live at the temporal point in space-time that is Freerotation Festival.

The last time I played an up-tempo Techno set like this at Freerotation was in 2011, and I’ve been pestering Steevio to let me bang it again ever since - this was the year it finally happened. 
Set times aren’t announced until the day, so it was as much of a surprise to me as anyone else to find out that I would be playing the closing set in that room.
After a night of excellent live & DJ sets from the highly talented women I had the honour of sharing the bill with, I had to be on top of my game to maintain the energy levels at the high bar they had set. 
My aim was to keep the tempos up around 137 BPM, make good use of all three turntables, improvise as much as possible in a spontaneous way by keeping the rehearsing to a minimum, and stay as present in the moment as much as I could possibly be.
I worked out the intro and the first couple of tracks, but then kept it mostly freestyle after that, which led to some unexpected twists, turns and inspired moments that kept me on my toes, and the crowd buzzing. 
This was one of those special nights where the amazing and supportive crowd gave so much energy, that it fed straight back into the music, which then began to feel like an energy flowing right through you, that pulled you even deeper into the moment. 
Presence!
I was ecstatic to  have been so well received by the large crowd that had gathered, it was an honour & a privilege to hold the space for 90 minutes, and a joy to have the opportunity close the room on such a high. 
Unfortunately some of the amps developed a fault, causing them to overheat & create a nasty burning smell, so the set had to be brought to an abrupt end to avoid causing a fire. 
An unmet demand for a final tune rampantly ensued, I loudly and regrettably responded “The Amps Are On Fire!!”, to which someone remarked “of course they are, you did a good job”, which I felt was a fitting end to a smoking night of Techno-music, that was pure heat from start to finish! :)
