PIV050 puts newcomers Retrouve in the limelight with a fiery debut EP on both vinyl and digital. The Hungarian duo are the definition of raw talent found within the label's own territory. "Doubt" sets the tone with a solid multiple layered groove, while "Parnell Street" has a joyful variety of bright funky uptempo instruments. On the flipside "Dr. Soul" takes it back deeply with a range of dynamic vocal chops and chords, before "Found" closes the package on a high note for peaktime selection.

Australia based Caleb Jackson lands on Desert Hearts Records with the spicy EP “The Romancer”. Caleb is known for his psychedelic take on House that has put him behind the decks at legendary venues such as S.A.S.H, Lost Paradise and Burning Man. His debut on Desert Hearts Records showcases his brilliant production skills. The title track drives forward with an energy loaded groove and funky synths. It is bouncy House with a modern twist and some serious percussive work. The repetitive vocal elements sublimely follow the charismatic flow, melting together with the quirky sounds.

“Delyte” carries on the energetic vibe with a playful bassline and frisky percussion. A more prominent vocal smoothly pushes us into the drop building some proper momentum before the upbeat release flushes over us. Caleb delivers a groovy and catchy two-tracker ready to create some good vibes on the dance floor.

Hottrax presents the 6th and final instalment of its Tripleution VA series.

This series has been all about label head Jamie Jones exploring the darker side of the dance floor. It has offered up a wealth of exciting new production talents, each with their own distinctive sound and now, for one last time, that is the case again here. 

Dennis Quin is first up and is a fast-rising Dutch talent who does it all from thumping tech to deep house on labels like Defected, Dungeon Meat, and Solid Grooves. His 'Keep Your Head Up' featuring Zoë Phillips is a silky house cut with slick, punchy drums but lithe synths that bring the soul. It has a classic edge but a future twist in the cosmic pads and makes for irresistible dancing. 

Italian house and tech man Pakkio Sans has made his name with big tunes on labels like Endless and here offers 'Spirit Lead Me'. It is a fresh cut with bobbing drums and bass perfectly interweaving beneath funky synth patterns and swinging claps. It's the sort of warm and heartfelt cut to glide floors to the next level. 

Last of all is Barcelona-based Italian Gianni Firmaio, owner of Mushroom Smile Records and a producer for labels like elrow Music and VIVa MUSiC. His 'Chief' is a chunky and tribal sound with bright synth stabs and plenty of percussive detail. It's dynamic and embellished with great vocal samples and twisted pads that ramp up the energy. 

This is a classy final edition of this vital series.

Something special was developing in London's rave culture during the mid-2000's. A generation of like-minded artists and promoters with similar tastes in house and techno formed a genuine scene with a spirit and alchemy that has propelled its instigators far and wide. Rich NxT was enjoying being part of the movement, frequenting the many seminal East London venues we still talk about now.

Born in 2008, FUSE London carved its own unique position on the scene with its infamous Sunday free parties at 93 Feet East. As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. As a core FUSE artist, Rich has delivered 11 classy EPs on the FUSE London imprint. In October 2020, the debut album ‘Know the Score’ lands, his crowning career achievement. The 10-tracker spans the full breadth of the house genre and is the culmination of 20 years production work, taking influence from his varied involvement in music as a DJ, raver, drummer in bands and pirate radio devotee, devouring the sounds on Weekend Rush FM.

Elsewhere the DJ/producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints,NxT Records and What NxT. The tastemaker favourites draw influence from techno and minimal house, while never forgetting Rich’s raver roots taking influence from jungle and hardcore.

His DJ highlights include appearances at most of the scene’s major venues such as DC-10 (Paradise, Cuttin’ Headz) Watergate, Space, Amnesia, Robert Johnson, Warehouse Elemenstratt, Mint Warehouse, Tobacco Docks, Studio 338 and The Warehouse Project. At the same time, he is versatile enough to command the decks over long sets at intimate venues such as Hopetosse, Ibiza Underground, Bret and CDV. Festival appearances in 2019 included Cocoon in The Park, BPM and Mint Festival.

Releasing regularly, he’s gained the support of many other DJs including The Martinez Brothers, Tini, Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, WAFF,Steve Lawler, MEAT, Matthias Kaden, East End Dubs, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything and Darius Syrossian.

Prior to his ‘Know The Score’ album dropping, Rich enjoyed an industrious first half of 2020, including a huge EP on WYLD, collaborative work with Darius Syrossian (Moxy Muzik) and remixes for INFUSE, Moan and SASH.

Meanwhile he continues to demonstrate a very keen ear with What NxT delivering the goods for new and established artists alike. Rich also continues his radio residency on Rinse FM with Fuse London and launches a new weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio
