As summer heats up so does Andhera Records with a massive new release, Just a Line EP, by Sunday Noise and Paul Trelles, which comes with exquisite remixes from Mihai Popoviciu and Mallin.

Sunday Noise and Paul Trelles hail from Peru, and are forefront of the scene in Lima. Between them they’ve released on credible labels like Rawsome, Tobus Limited, Distance, Miaw and Whoyostro. 

The first track on the EP is Just a Line, where tripped out vocal incidentals combine with eerily treated vocals, layered on swirling atmospherics creating an edgy late night deep and hypnotic flavour. Next up is, You Hear That, with its shuffling highs, bouncing bassline combining with the atmospherics and effortless arrangement this is absolute groover. 

The third track on the EP is Mihai Popoviciu’s remix. Popovicui is well known from his huge releases on Poker Flat, Get Physical, Bedrock, Dessous, Bondage Music and his own label Cyclic imprint, and his inimitable style has arrived on Andhera. His remix is as you would expect from him, smooth, deep, and excellently executed. With a rolling bass, and filtered pads pushed into the background, this grows in a crescendo throughout the track to where the uplifting chords drop, and smiles rise, make no mistake this is a sublime remix.

The last track on the EP is Mallin’s remix of You Hear That. Mallin’s profile has been rising the last few years via string of hot releases on labels like Glasgow Underground, Inermu, and Oh Stockholm. For his remix he delivers a sensual deep number adding a melodic and uplifting touch to the original, with a delicate short sax sample to really give this an excellent end of the night feel.

This is an absolute must have release on the fast rising Brooklyn imprint, Andhera Records, and something you’ll definitely be hearing all summer long on the underground floors of the world.

Darius described how Return To Jericho came to fruition: “We were chatting at the beginning of lockdown about starting a collab and decided that we wanted to make something with depth & soul. We’re really happy with these tracks & super happy that Damian has snapped them for Crosstown Rebels.”

Bushwacka echoed a similar sentiment: “When I checked out what Darius had been releasing on Moxy, straight away I felt that a collaboration would work, and work it has. This could be the first of many.”

The title track leads the way, opening with ethereal synth rolls and resonant kick-hat combos. Saharan-like vocals marry up next to a pacey, 4x4 bassline whilst atmospheric pulses march on in the background. Akkabi Blue takes on a more-stripped back feel, as minimal percussion cascades into a breakbeat-inspired breakdown to form a late-night dancefloor cut.

Darius Syrossian has been at the forefront of UK electronic music for more than a decade. A prolific producer, the Moxy Muzik head has released several standout EPs on the label, including Fuego and Harlem Nights to name a few. He has also welcomed several industry-heavyweights to the imprint in recent times, including East End Dubs, Seb Zito and many more besides.

Bushwacka has remained a firm fixture in the global dance scene since first cutting his teeth in the acid era of the late eighties. Regularly reinventing himself, his production catalogue boasts releases on Ultra, CTR and Get Physical as well as a host of other industry-defining labels, whilst his legendary residency at London nightclub The End has given the British-mainstay a lifelong legacy.

Something special was developing in London's rave culture during the mid-2000's. A generation of like-minded artists and promoters with similar tastes in house and techno formed a genuine scene with a spirit and alchemy that has propelled its instigators far and wide. Rich NxT was enjoying being part of the movement, frequenting the many seminal East London venues we still talk about now.

Born in 2008, FUSE London carved its own unique position on the scene with its infamous Sunday free parties at 93 Feet East. As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. As a core FUSE artist, Rich has delivered 11 classy EPs on the FUSE London imprint. In October 2020, the debut album ‘Know the Score’ lands, his crowning career achievement. The 10-tracker spans the full breadth of the house genre and is the culmination of 20 years production work, taking influence from his varied involvement in music as a DJ, raver, drummer in bands and pirate radio devotee, devouring the sounds on Weekend Rush FM.

Elsewhere the DJ/producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints,NxT Records and What NxT. The tastemaker favourites draw influence from techno and minimal house, while never forgetting Rich’s raver roots taking influence from jungle and hardcore.

His DJ highlights include appearances at most of the scene’s major venues such as DC-10 (Paradise, Cuttin’ Headz) Watergate, Space, Amnesia, Robert Johnson, Warehouse Elemenstratt, Mint Warehouse, Tobacco Docks, Studio 338 and The Warehouse Project. At the same time, he is versatile enough to command the decks over long sets at intimate venues such as Hopetosse, Ibiza Underground, Bret and CDV. Festival appearances in 2019 included Cocoon in The Park, BPM and Mint Festival.

Releasing regularly, he’s gained the support of many other DJs including The Martinez Brothers, Tini, Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, WAFF,Steve Lawler, MEAT, Matthias Kaden, East End Dubs, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything and Darius Syrossian.

Prior to his ‘Know The Score’ album dropping, Rich enjoyed an industrious first half of 2020, including a huge EP on WYLD, collaborative work with Darius Syrossian (Moxy Muzik) and remixes for INFUSE, Moan and SASH.

Meanwhile he continues to demonstrate a very keen ear with What NxT delivering the goods for new and established artists alike. Rich also continues his radio residency on Rinse FM with Fuse London and launches a new weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio
