Move with the times...&lt;br&gt;I do..&lt;br&gt;.. started back in the early 90&#039;s, off to discover clubbing and free parties around the country, Interesting... Megadog, &lt;br&gt;The Orbit, Return to the Source and Legendary London free parties, it had me smitten.&lt;br&gt;Inspired to give it a try. What did I first sound like on those 1210&#039;s?!! After lots of practise, practise, practise got myself playing at freeparties around Sheffield... &lt;br&gt;Enticed to play with Dill Zogg and The Atomizers. People liked us, liked us lots, so much they wanted us indoors in clubs! HEADCHARGE was born...&lt;br&gt;Bit of a change but we got bigger and bigger. There was me playing for over a decade with people who inspired me S.U.F Collective, Dave the Drummer and Dj Ant etc - I had to pinch myself! I was banging out my favourite techno acidtechno and nrg to dancers hungry for it&lt;br&gt;Popularity on the up, Headcharge got the reputation of being one of the biggest and best underground dance nights in the U.K (Mixmag). Gathering crowds from other top nights like Gatecrasher, Insomniacz and more..&lt;br&gt;Invited to play accross the Uk, London, Bristol, Leeds requires more practise practise practise! Inspired to start our own nights that encouraged new talent like Future Funk and others.&lt;br&gt;After havin a break to do the norm - family and work (although work was teaching djing in colleges and working in a record shop buying vinyl haha!) Realised there were a few things I still needed to do...Give this production malarkey a go with Funkenstutter Productions coming soon. Get my self over to Dj in Europe. More to get my teeth into...&lt;br&gt;For the last year I&#039;ve been pumping out my unique style, Playing tunes from the spectrum of techno - tech techfunk to techouse - anything upbeat with a heartbeat. &lt;br&gt;In my bag at the moment there&#039;s some tasty Umek, Alan Fitzpatrick, Alex Bau, Adam Beyer, Phunk Investigation, Marco Bailey, Chris Liebing and Axel Karakasis. Rookery Ensemble would like to say a few words in honour of Alison O'Melia founding member who passed away just before Christmas 2020 after a illness. We will miss you; love you in so many ways. Its still so hard to comprehend but we will follow the paths you set in music and sound. Your patterns of spirit are there rich with colour and transcend the mundane. We hold our hands up and touch those stars above in which way they shine xxx 

Rookery Ensemble were founded by
George Harris and Alison O'Melia 
they were previously called Brother G and The Trouble and World Of Surprises and started in 2011. Performing a number of concerts as a duo and ensemble.
They have ploughed several furloughs in the land of contemporary music. Currently based around George E Harris with Erik Moore and Mark Hill bringing in others in the hear and there. 
Through the lockdown in UK, Alison and George played a number of home performances for Crystal Palace Lockdown Live online which you can hear a best of album on soundcloud and bandcamp.  As well as view some on YouTube and the CPLL Facebook group page. The bandcamp album is available to buy and is raising money for St Christopher's Hospice. This was with the help of Erik Moore on various tracks virtually. 
Rookery Ensemble have just released their first vinyl album Islets Of Langerhans that was started with Alison and completed since her passing.  This album is available on Bandcamp as well as here and other streaming services and the sales are part going to St Christophers Hospice.
Other members of Ensemble  of late have been Hilary Robinson - Piano, Melodica and keyboards, David Rothon on various instruments including the Omni Chord, Pedal Steel and Melodica, Mark Hill - Electronics and Radio, Erik Moore - Bass, K- Keyboards and Percussion, Annabella Maneljuk - Melodica, Glockenspiel and Keyboards.
With previous  collaborations  from Agata Liswoska on Violin with occasional appearances by  Mitzy Valentine - Flute and Voice, Victoria Potterton on Trumpet and Voice. 
Rookery Ensemble continue to build on the fluid nature of the music through various incarnations and sounds.

**Belle Seraphin** is a Sheffield-based DJ and electronica artist known for her genre-blending sets that span Neurofunk, Drum and Bass, Techno, Dubstep, Psytrance, and more. Since her debut in 2008, she has become a fixture in the UK’s underground scene, performing at festivals like Alchemy and Shamania. With residencies at *Dragon Moon*, *Psychedelic Breakfast*, and *AudioAddictz*, Belle brings high-energy performances to every set, whether she’s spinning bass-heavy techno for *Dirty as Funk* or deep drum and bass for *TooTs Tunes*. In September 2024, she made her debut at Sheffield’s iconic *Planet Zogg*. You can also catch her weekly on *Spice Music Radio*, Fridays from 6-8pm, and as a guest on *Fod livestreams*, where she continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.
