You hit the nail right between being upbeat and being chill. Those chords are the perfect middleground of  being mellowed and gloomy without hurting the upbeatness of it. This sounds like it was cozy to make. Wish there were more vocals but the little scattering of it works good too!

the begining sounded like some old incubus

reminds me of some 90s indie rock. I really like the sound of the guitar. simple lines with lots of reverb that gives the song a nice atmospheric feel

i actually think the mix sounds good. the buried vocals seem stylistic, though i could also see it sounding good mixed in a diff way
