Austin-based Jean Synodinos (that’s sin-uh-DEE-nus) delivers grit, grace, and acoustic with a voice has been hailed as a force of nature. Her award-winning writing digs deep lyrically, moving from big affirmations to little ironies at the turn of a phrase.  Deftly skating between genres, Jean delivers performances that make audiences ask for more. Her latest disc, “Girls, Good & Otherwise” received the 2012 Texas Music Award for Artistic Excellence. Jean’s favorite hour of the week is spent behind the bars of the Travis County Detention Center where she teaches guitar and songwriting to women inmates.
