Fun Facts:
* Blown Away is a piece that is about surprise, although it actually contains few true musical surprises.
* Holding tight to shaky foundations that you know will not last, in order to survive one big difficulty, leads to yet another big difficulty further along.
* Blown Away is a reminder that next time, one should trust one’s intuition and refrain from such tomfoolery.
* The key for Blown Away is E major and the tempo is 125 BPM.
* The whole tune grew out of the C# minor to C section quite quickly in October 2000.
* There are quite a lot of guitar parts, quiet ones that you don’t hear on the first listening.
* A guitar far back in the mix is playing G# while the rest of the band plays C.
* This helps to set up a weird dissonant mood.
* The lead part where the sustained notes turn to feedback was fun and very satisfying to record.
* George says it is something he learned from Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser, lead guitarist of Blue Oyster Cult.
* Dave plays the bassline on his Fender.

Isolation-Assignment No. 4, and I'm no longer alone :).

One of the pillars of male voice choir repertoire I sang this song more often than I'd like to admit, and I didn't always feel enthusiastic about it. It needed something special to change my "no LesMis"-attitude, and this duet is special, to me anyway. I'm a believer, I'm Jean Valjean...whatever.
