Hailing from the East Coast but currently nestled in the City of Angels, Sam Andrus AKA 5AM, is making a splash in the underground beats scene with productions that span a large portion of the bass music spectrum. But Sam does not limit himself to music production; he’s also a designer and draws inspiration from many sources in life, putting it elegantly when he says “My philosophy has evolved to value energy over everything else in art. Ideas have energy, colors have energy, movement has energy, and I try to capture as much of it onto a page or a recording as I can.” He has a knack for sound design and an ear for the euphonic. You’ll be hearing a lot about 5AM here, and eleswhere.
