Few DJs have made such a dramatic impact on the underground house and techno scene over the last two years as Hot Creations label owner Lee Foss. Described by DJ Mag as “one of the most talented new forces in modern dance music today” and by fellow future house innovators Art Department as their favourite producer, Lee has quickly catapulted himself into dance music’s collective consciousness. 



Lee and his Hot Creations label co-owner Jamie Jones currently spearhead a whole family of like-minded producers that includes Robert James, Russ Yallop, Richy Ahmed, Danny Daze and most recently wAFF who are currently re-writing the rulebook of how to make evocative and emotive house music. His latest Hot Creations release ‘Electricity EP’ features collaborations with legendary producer MK and hot new vocal talent Anabel Englund, which will be followed this summer by the hotly anticipated Hot Natured album and live tour.

Just getting into this, and not mad about.  Been a strong supporter of the underground/electronic scene in Seattle since 96'.  Haven't stopped listening since my first warehouse party back then. Born and raised in the Seattle area and always surrounded by different types of music. My personal musical journey took me from 80s synth-pop, to early rap & hip-hop, metal, grunge, punk, and then industrial music, before finding house, techno, and the underground Seattle rave scene in the early 90s. After going to my first rave in 1993, I was absolutely hooked, started collecting vinyl, and bought my first set of Technics SL1200MK2 turntables and DJ mixer in 1995. 

Collecting vinyl and DJing led me to Platinum Records Seattle, an underground vinyl store,  where I worked from 2000 to late 2003, during a massive resurgence of rave culture in Seattle. During that time, I played multiple raves at old venues like NAF, Studio B, Club Insight, Club FX, and clubs/after-hours like Aero Space, Noc Noc, Liquid Lounge, Club Contour, etc. 

At the end of 2003 I starting working for Rane Corporation WA, a pro-audio/ DJ mixer company that was based in Mukilteo area from 1981 until the closing of the factory in 2016. While at Rane from 2003-2016, I worked as a Product Specialist, Technical Support, Product Clinician, Social Media Manager, Artist Relations, Beta Tester, Project Manager, and Product Design, and the designer of the infamous Rane MP2015 and Rane MP2014 rotary DJ mixers. 

Fast forward to today, I am still DJing, still raving, and now throwing underground parties in the Seattle area (ifykyk 😘). I'm a resident DJ for the Diffusion crew, Brit Jean Presents, and Blue Moon. I've been producing music under the name "Double Helix," a musical duo with my good friend Rob Ali, with two releases out (so far) on Deep Contour Music, and Seattle's own Uniting Souls Music!

In 1989 the Seattle music scene acquired the multi-talented triple threat known as Shomari Shanks.  Shomari (aka DJ Sho Nuph), at the age of 15 quickly immersed himself in the local music community by connecting with the local hip-hop crew Tribal Music in the '90’s.  During this time he developed his craft of Rapping, Dancing, and creating new beats to share with the world.   Shomari then jumped in to the Jungle/ Drum&Bass  Scene in the '00’s and then became a mainstay at various spots around Seattle.  Shomari's passion for beat making and dancing is reflected in his ability to blend R&B, House, Funk, Spacious Trap, Soul, and his original tracks to keep all those bodies moving on the dance floor.
While honing his production skills in 2008 Shomari was diagnosed with Kidney Failure and courageously fought for his life while still following his passion and dreams to create music and art.  In 2011 he joined forces with fellow music creator DJ WD4D to introduce Soulectro.  Soulectro was created to push the boundaries of the Electronic Music Scene by introducing new and forward thinking mixes and original creations.  In 2016, Shomari received a new kidney and used his recovery time to create his EP HOWEVAYAWANT, which was released in July 2018 and available at http://carepackage.bandcamp.com/album/howevayawant .

The LoveVirus has infected the world of electronic music with his uplifting style of booty-moving madness, and there is no cure for this contagion. No dance floor is safe from the spread of his love-based beats delivered as toxic concoction of freaky fun; this DJ and producer contaminates every ear he meets with his epic illness. Diagnosis: Dance. 

The LoveVirus is a much-loved mainstay of the Seattle EDM community and has been dosing dance floors with a healthy helping of house for over 20 years. Influenced by many genres and inspired by a genuine love of life, The LoveVirus is now producing his own tracks, saturating each beat with his signature positive energy. His experience as a DJ along with a true ear for fresh sounds has manifested a bright new producer whose tight tracks are infused with a keen knowledge of movement-making beats. The LoveVirus creates music that makes you more than dance- it makes you love. You have been infected. 

As a founding member of Seattle Burning Man Crew Booty Resin, The LoveVirus has led troupes of dance hungry fiends across deserts and forests in search of butt shaking beats up and down the West Coast. Booty Resin is well known locally for throwing community-based dance events in support of Seattle artists and the electronic music culture of the city- and having a hell of a time doing it. 

The LoveVirus has slammed such parties as Seattle’s Decibel Festival 07-08, Epidural, Fenix Fest, SIDW, Magnetic/Kinetic, Spy, Broken Disco, Gemini Party, XXX-mas, and Urban Revival (Portland Bus Party), touching many people’s hearts in the process with his love for the community he moves. This in-demand DJ has shared the stage with Innerflight, Shameless, Produkt, DJ Heather, and novaTRON and is also a resident of Uniting Souls. 

Presiding over the very popular monthly “Catch the LoveVirus” at Club Contour in downtown Seattle for over two years, the LoveVirus commands the dance floor with seamless mixing and on-point track selection, dropping sets of pounding house that are aggressively inspiring and guarantee you will walk off the dance floor with a smile on your face, ready to spread the epidemic of music euphoria. 

This is no passing bug; this is the LoveVirus. His music is fatal to empty dance floors and stale sets everywhere, and there is no vaccine- only love.

Raised in small-town Indiana on a musical diet of 80s synth pop and punk rock, Noncompliant soon found barnyard raves and warehouse techno parties and (as DJ Shiva) quickly became a fixture of the fabled 90s Midwest USA rave scene.

Now, almost three decades and a name change later, she is at the top of her techno game. She was recognized as one of Mixmag's Top 20 Breakthrough DJs in 2017 and has performed at renowned venues like Berghain and Tresor in Berlin, Smartbar in Chicago, and DeSchool in Amsterdam. She has also appeared at festivals such as Unsound and Movement Detroit. 

Noncompliant's releases and remixes on labels like Valence, Flash, Outerworld, and Dark Entries have made waves in the global music scene, with her track "Women's Work" even landing on Fiedel's official Berghain 08 mix and his label Fiedeltwo. In 2023, she is launching her own label called Giant Arm, which features her signature style of raw, uncompromising techno. 

At her core, Noncompliant is a die-hard techno fan with a deep love for music and a drive to continue honing her craft as a DJ and producer to share her favorite music with people on dance floors around the world.
