Blue Sky Road

I have known many friends, co-workers and acquaintances who have fallen down the Cocaine rabbit-hole, and this song is told from their perspective. Some made it out and some didn't. One person in particular, a former co-worker who had it all, lost EVERYTHING to his addiction, squandering a beautiful, expensive home in the process and ended up living on the street, homeless and begging for money to chase his next hit.

I wrote this song in 1977 after returning from a trip to the Florida Keys. Almost 50 years later, I've finally gotten around to recording it. It's a fun song about getting high on cannabis, which seemed to be the thing to do back when I wrote this song!
