Rick Ivanoff's greatest passion is songwriting. Born in Canada but being well traveled across Canada, the US and Eastern Europe, he draws from his life experiences to create songs that touch the full range of emotions in the styles of Pop, Rock, Country, Folk and Americana. 

He has performed live on television across Canada, and is also a composer of instrumental tracks that are featured in several high-end music libraries. Since 1978, Rick has been involved in the music industry as a songwriter, performer, producer, jingle writer, and composer.

La banda Distracción nació en el año 2008 con ganas de hacer realidad un sueño de 4 amigos impulsados con la motivación de aportar una propuesta fresca y diferente a la escena del Rock en Cali. 
Desde su nacimiento Distracción ha sido partícipe de gran cantidad de eventos, los cuales han ayudado al crecimiento integral de sus integrantes y de la banda, desde eventos sociales hasta festivales con gran trayectoria en la ciudad han sido testigos de este proceso en todos sus aspectos. 

Actualmente la agrupación se encuentra trabajando en música nueva y preparando el lanzamiento de su primer compilado.
