Scarlet Mill is a smouldering peat fire, fuelled by a vibrant mix of eclectic dreamwave, European Americana, and gritty chansons. In 2020, this obscure duo finally got their act together, and released their first album with songs of passion, fate and redemption. 

Their debut album Chronicles is a murder ballad in 7 pieces. It tells the tale of an impossible love, deeply passionate yet fuelled by tender hatred. The careful listener gets many clues as to what may have happened in this fatal love story.

Also their second album, untitled as yet, will tell the tale of a dramatic, passionate love: now one between a sailing musician and his muse. The tale spans the full album, and will unfold gradually as more new songs will be released. You’re Mine and Port Henry, the first songs for this second album, saw the light in 2022, while Sinking Man and Sea Devil came out in 2023.

And now, “Driftwood” will be released on January 17 2024! Driftwood unfolds a pivotal part of the tale of two ‘drifting souls’, voicing the female protagonist’s perspective on the sailor’s misbehaving before he flees to Port Henry. The dark analogue synths and gloomy guitars create the intense indie-rock atmosphere that makes her passionate love and her desparate anger nearly tangible…

Alberto Amar is a Spanish songwriter and producer from Valencia, now based in the Netherlands.
 
His music and lyrics encompass an eclectic mix of inspirations, using intuition and improvisation as the primary ways to create his dreamy sound.
 
Alberto delves into constant experimentation, crafting albums that are always conceptual and blend traditional and contemporary instruments.
 
He has three albums released and has also collaborated with various artists from the indie and experimental music Spanish scene.
 
Alberto Amar released his debut studio album "Dentro" in 2014 with his band Elíal and producer and ambient musician Suso Saiz, who also worked with him on his first solo album "Arte por error," released in 2015.
 
After playing his music throughout Spain, Alberto recorded his second solo album, "The Day," in a townhouse in the French Burgundy region right before the pandemic.
 
Currently, Alberto is finishing the production of his new album "Flower of Dreams," the first album entirely recorded and produced by himself at his home studio in the Netherlands and product of his new inspirations and artistic evolution in the north of Europe.
