Leighton Grantham aka Twelve Seven is a Manchester-based DJ and co-founder and resident of the growing collective 01366 as well as an absolute gem and positive force in our scene.

Finding his roots in the early rave scene, this exposure started his journey young and fast. Having made appearances at FOLD, ://about blank, The White Hotel, Pattern, Corsica Studios, Eastern Bloc, Club69 & more, Twelve Seven is an artist on the rise. Rolling, intricate & hypnotic rhythms are where his core sound lies however he is no stranger to taking the crowd on many different journeys, with influences spanning across the full spectrum of music.

If you’ve been lucky enough to catch a Twelve Seven set in person, you’ll understand why we are so excited about this artist and what his future holds. We can’t stop listening to this mix!! Enjoy babes xxx

Recent and upcoming highlights include shows at Berghain/Panorama Bar, Tresor, Ohm and RSO in Berlin as well as Macadam in Nantes and POING in Rotterdam. Her sets have become some of our favorite as of late and we are ecstatic to host this spectacular mix from her today.

3 years ago I made the best decision of my life and dropped my "first one// not the last one" mix here, on my SoundCloud page. 

That decision was life changing for me. 

During those 3 years I have been traveling through a lot of cities and countries in Europe and outside. I have met people who I used and still keep looking at as my inspiration and who I can call my friends today. I have never felt myself so much as when I play gigs and dig music. It might sound cheesy and generic, but it's true. 

Although, it is indeed difficult to stay motivated and keep doing your best, despite the uncertainty of the world. Plans get cancelled due to circumstances which are beyond your control. 

Plus, you keep asking yourself, what is my input to the society as an artist & a DJ? Is it worth to not give up? Do I make someone happy with my works? Will my hard work and dedication ever pay off? 

With your support, the answer is obvious, it's a YES. 

This set is very personal to me, I have invested a lot of time, energy and effort into preparing it and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Big s/o to my friends and family for their omnipresent support, for everyone who comes to my gigs and listens to my mixes and to my beloved agency Distinkt for pushing so much me this year, I love u <3

With this mix, I’ve tried to captured the sounds that really founded my interest in dance music. I draw a lot of inspiration from the Copenhagen Techno scene and I’m lucky enough to have been mentored by Repro and Adam Askov, and it felt really full circle to play a lot of their music, along with some classics from Schacke and Sugar. I also combined this with some of my newer interests, taking inspiration from UK sounds like Overmono and Joy Orbison. I really tried to focus on building the energy and tension throughout the mix.

While Berlin's nightlife scene has a reputation for attracting a revolving door of people, those who are here to stay have had to witness the same painful cycle repeat itself over and over again: the best parties get too big, too fast and––due to forced venue changes and shifting crowds––lose their spark too soon.

RIDE is the lovechild of a group of friends whose bonds were forged on the dance floors of the parties, clubs and safe spaces that have been lost over time. Each party is an enthusiastic invitation for guests of all colors, shapes, sizes and identities to be themselves, express themselves and explore their desires in an inclusive space shaped by authenticity and mutual respect. Due to the rarity of its warm and inviting environment, RIDE is a place where the silver lining in music is always audible and where everyone is made to feel like family. With its fierce commitment to supporting the LGBTQ scene and its unparalleled atmosphere, RIDE has already made a permanent mark on the nightlife culture of the world's mecca of electronic music. This is only the beginning of what will surely be a joyful and wild ride.
