A segment of my 3 hour set that was recorded live during the 2013 Ostgut Ton resident's night at Berghain.

Initially a duo turned one-man unit, TWR72 has been stacking some fire transmissions for the likes of Hayes, SK_Eleven, KEY and their own imprint, Float Records. Trading out hi-velocity wares all set at cranking up the room’s heat two notches up, the Amsterdam-based producer champions a sound fully geared towards shaking dance floors upside-down with its implacable mix of flaring uptempo drives, sleek programming and crisp sound design. Punching in our series with a double hour workout spanning the breadth of his arsenal, from heavy-duty dubs to true-school modular destroyers, TWR72 has us surfing a tsunami of paced-up face-melters and zero-G acrobatics that won’t let loose on you until your batteries have run dry for good. Definitely more physically strenuous than your average routine, expect to be sweating buckets.

While Berlin's nightlife scene has a reputation for attracting a revolving door of people, those who are here to stay have had to witness the same painful cycle repeat itself over and over again: the best parties get too big, too fast and––due to forced venue changes and shifting crowds––lose their spark too soon.

RIDE is the lovechild of a group of friends whose bonds were forged on the dance floors of the parties, clubs and safe spaces that have been lost over time. Motivated by a shared need for a breath of fresh air in the scene, RIDE's founders pooled their talents, wisdom and experiences together to create an event that fills the gaps left by bygone institutions and that is, above all, a party they themselves would love to attend. 

After the prolonged uncertainty and stress of the pandemic years, RIDE burst onto the scene with the colorful and joyful energy of 90s club nights in New York and London. These frisky family affairs are soundtracked by both up-and-coming and well-established DJs who prioritize pleasure while serving their own unique flavor of groove, penetrating dancers' ears and bodies with everything from techno and ghetto to powerhouse and trance. 

From the moment it opened its doors, RIDE has proven itself to be a liberating sanctuary for the queer community. Each party is an enthusiastic invitation for guests of all colors, shapes, sizes and identities to be themselves, express themselves and explore their desires in an inclusive space shaped by authenticity and mutual respect. Due to the rarity of its warm and inviting environment, RIDE is a place where the silver lining in music is always audible and where everyone is made to feel like family. With its fierce commitment to supporting the LGBTQ scene and its unparalleled atmosphere, RIDE has already made a permanent mark on the nightlife culture of the world's mecca of electronic music. This is only the beginning of what will surely be a joyful and wild ride.
