Keeping to their traditional sound of fresh offbeat reggae with a twist of folky blues, and the ingenious skills of beatboxing from band member, Moritz, Colour Me, is the new single release from Berlin 3-piece, Riders Connection, which is the first release from their new album, Colour Me.

Using Colour to express emotion and a symbol of freedom, Colour Me, describes a process, which people go through when dealing with pain caused by breakups and loss, and reaching a specific goal in getting past that part of your life, a process that is repeated time after time throughout our lives.

Mit seiner hochkonzentrierten Dosis Sommerlaune lässt „Colour Me“ sofort die Sonne aus den Lautsprechern scheinen. Mit einer Mischung aus frischem Off-Beat Reggae, garniert mit einer Brise Folk und Blues sowie entspannten Beatboxing-Beats, setzt der Song unmittelbar ein Gefühl wohligen Behagens frei.

Kredenzt wird uns die namensgebende Single des Debütalbums vom Berliner Trio „Riders Connection“. Die „Farbe“ wird hierbei als Ausdruck von Emotionen verwendet und steht außerdem als Symbol für Freiheit. Konkret beschreibt der Titel einen Prozess, bei dem wir durch erfolgreiche Verarbeitung von Trennungen und Verlusten, anschließend gestärkt und auf gewisse Weise als neue Menschen daraus hervorgehen können.

Die meisten verbinden mit dem Namen Riders Connection sicherlich schwungvolle Songs und mitreißende Konzerte. Und das durchaus zu Recht. Riders Connection are easily as cool as they look! This gem of a group, hailing from Berlin, Germany, is pushing the boundaries of genres, stereotype and normality.

Bringing together a unique blend of reggae, soul and
folky blues, Riders Connection has molded a musical
Youtube style of their own. Using no drum kit, beatboxing guru, Moritz, does all the percussion using his mouth to produce unique funky beats from genres such a hip hop, drum and bass and techno and even imitating the native Australian instrument ‘Didgeridoo’.
Fusing floor-filling beats with groovy baselines, singer & guitarist Philipp, adds an authentic expression of passion through his dynamic and captivating vocals. Showcasing his command of melody, he is also able to imitate the sound of a trumpet, which can easily be mistaken for the real instrument itself. He is truly a wonder to behold.

It doesn’t get any slicker than this smooth, seductive and soulful trio who started playing music together on the streets of Berlin and have since then built up a loyal fan base and successfully toured Germany, Switzerland & South Africa, all without the backing of a record label.
Everything in this world is about connection and experience and in their performances, they always inject humour, utilize improvisation, sing along-able choruses – and never fail to deliver an unforgettably sweaty and unifying experience.
