Sons of Settlers are a band from Cape Town, South Africa. Their current sound can be described as a blend of melodic rock with elements of folk. 

They combine African rhythm and Western harmony to create levels of textured melody punctuated by energetic, flowing beats with honest reflective lyrics. From ballads with aching echoes of electric guitar over sensitive acoustic finger-style, to high energy foot-stomping drums, groovy bass and soaring vocal choruses.
Whether you are listening in your bedroom or in your car, you will find yourself lost in the eclectic and intoxicating sound of the music.

Each member of Sons of Settlers is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, writer or performer in their own rite. With eclectic tastes in music from Traditional Folk to Techno, Son of Settlers’ has a diverse palate of influences to draw from. This is the cornerstone of their unique sound.

Sons are a young band that is becoming well known for their energetic live shows, which have the ability to create an unforgettable atmosphere. Their strong musicality and sincere interaction with the crowd makes for a unique and memorable live music experience.

Baba the Knife’s musical journey began as an Indie guitarist and bass player, gigging his weekends away in small-town basement clubs. Then came 60s, then Blues and finally, once he lost his heart to Berlin: electronic music. Techno is what stuck. Powerful, dark, let’s call it Deep Space Techno defines his style today.

Baba’s passion goes way beyond DJ performances though. He probably wouldn’t admit to it, but is a workaholic behind the scenes, frequently organizing raves, party series and large-scale festivals such as „Hans&Gloria“, „Monis Rache“, and recently „Bucht der Träumer“.

In 2013 he met notorious Schmeckefucks at a Berlin open air rave. They clicked immediately and soon after founded the Rebellion der Träumer collective, which has grown into a breeding pit of creative energy ever since, and recently kicked off their very own label.

Riders Connection are easily as cool as they look! This gem of a group, hailing from Berlin, Germany, is pushing the boundaries of genres, stereotype and normality.

Bringing together a unique blend of reggae, soul and
folky blues, Riders Connection has molded a musical
Youtube style of their own. Using no drum kit, beatboxing guru, Moritz, does all the percussion using his mouth to produce unique funky beats from genres such a hip hop, drum and bass and techno and even imitating the native Australian instrument ‘Didgeridoo’.
Fusing floor-filling beats with groovy baselines, singer & guitarist Philipp, adds an authentic expression of passion through his dynamic and captivating vocals. Showcasing his command of melody, he is also able to imitate the sound of a trumpet, which can easily be mistaken for the real instrument itself. He is truly a wonder to behold.

It doesn’t get any slicker than this smooth, seductive and soulful trio who started playing music together on the streets of Berlin and have since then built up a loyal fan base and successfully toured Germany, Switzerland & South Africa, all without the backing of a record label.
Everything in this world is about connection and experience and in their performances, they always inject humour, utilize improvisation, sing along-able choruses – and never fail to deliver an unforgettably sweaty and unifying experience.
