Para la octava entrega de nuestro podcast invitamos a Santiago y Fillippo;  dúo de residentes del colectivo  @ahoraco . Su acto se  disingue por tocar en vinilos y, habitualmente su selección es ecléctica moviéndose entre los surcos de discos de deep house, tech house y disco.  Otros estilos que hacen parte de su colección pueden escucharlos en las sesiones de Black Gold Discoteca, el nuevo proyecto de  Magenta, y en el programa de radio +Ruido, en donde son residentes.

Acá un aparte de las palabras de Fillippo respecto a sus motivaciones para seleccionar música:

"No siempre hay un propósito declarado. Nos gusta promover el formato del vinilo, artistas y sellos vinyl only digamos que por diversión. Es un formato cálido que tiene una magia, las piezas tienen su historia y detrás de eso hay una dedicación que valoramos mucho. 
Ese podría ser el sello que nos distingue un poco de otros proyectos. 
Sobre la selección musical, no tenemos un propósito declarado ni una presencia por estilos o géneros, pero en particular a Santiago le gusta escoger discos que él describe como elegantes y trata de que nuestros eventos sean así, elegantes. Como destacando cierta finura que algunos artistas le ponen a su trabajo y eso genera un ambiente especial... "

Funboys is a Norwegian-Australian-Belgian music collaboration, born from a mutual penchant for late nights, stiff drinks, bad dance-moves, techno and punk.

Juno has described the Funboys sound as “impressively madcap” and “inspired lunacy.”

Funboys has released a variety of music on Tronik Youth’s UK label NEIN Records,  Golden Bug’s French label La Belle Records, Australian labels Here To Hell, Unknown Records, Sweat It Out, Club Sweat, and Future Classic. Face Machine inhabits the blurred threshold between the human and the synthetic, where identity becomes fluid and is constantly rewritten. Drifting between melodic techno, underground trance and electro-pop, the album unfolds like a network of unstable selves - mirrors folding into mirrors, names dissolving into signals. Vocals shift between male and female, merging with abstract textures until the human voice becomes something unbound, a mutable instrument suspended between body and machine. Each track carves its own passage through luminous, volatile atmospheres, yet all are tethered by a shared sonic architecture of detuned oscillators, layered melodic counterpoint, and synthesis timbres that breathe with organic motion.

These twelve tracks move through states of emergence and disappearance - memory scattering, identity refracting, presence dissolving into signal. Wordless chants, whispered fragments, and spectral harmonies drift like residues of selves that never fully arrive. Within this landscape, rhythm and texture intertwine: polyrhythmic layers build and collapse, melodic threads blur into complex harmonic tides, and shifting tonalities open portals into new emotional terrain. Face Machine doesn't offer resolution; instead, it lingers in the spaces where perception falters and technology reshapes what it means to exist. It is an album of thresholds and transformations - a meditation on how we become, lose, and reinvent ourselves in an age where even our voices can belong to someone, or something, else.
