The arts, politics and culture through a queer lens.  With an eye on how queer identity intersects with race, gender and all of our other identities, we’re having conversations at the crossroads of queerness and the contemporary world.

There are those people who you know are just born to do certain things.  China Rose has been singing since she could talk, and she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.  She started off singing in choirs in schools and also found her love of musicals.  While performing various styles throughout her life, such as jazz, classical, and musical theater, China has always found pop and r&b to be her biggest inspirations.  In college, she studied  jazz vocal performance at the University of Denver, while also cohosting a morning show.  In a recent move cross country, she came to northern New Jersey to take her musical career to the next level. From food to tasks, China Rose loves having her plate full in every sense of the word.
   China Rose is the latest pop sensation ready to take over Denver, Colorado and the world with her infectious voice. Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, and Meghan Trainor might be here to do pop, but watch as China Rose swiftly slides her way into the industry alongside the major players with catchy hooks guarantied to stay stuck in your head. With a bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the University of Denver, you appreciate the best of both worlds with simple catchy melodies, but complicated music theory stylings. Authenticity, raw emotion and a love and passion to drive the pop music culture forward all comes rapped in the China Rose package!

Honest to a fault, Y.E (pronounced why-ee)makes music for himself, and that self-awareness leaks into his music. His music reflects the delicate balance of juggling two lives at once.
