Akin to the mysterious sea anemone, Daniel Allen's sensibilities extend from deep underground straight up to the glimmering surface. Since his start in '89, he's had his tentacles in everything — 80s, drum & bass, house, techno, and all fusions thereof — giving his DJ sets a riveting, tactile quality. On the creative side, Daniel currently has over 50 releases distributed on labels such as Viva Recordings, Priroslin, Colour and Pitch, and many more. Between steering the helm of misfit record label Denied Music and studio work, he can be found at his residencies in Austin, New Orleans, and Houston.

With the big boom of the rave culture in the early 90s, which at the time had affected the German music scene, his interest in electronic music subsequently increased stronger. Beginning to monitor all happenings surrounding the whole electronic scene through the media as well as their presence at various events and parties, his interest in the very production of electronic music begins in the midnineties foremost only for himself. As time passed and electronic music started to spread in different styles, the biggest influence on his music and production were great men from the Deep & Tech House scene, such as Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Nils Hess, Gideon Jackson, Pure Science, Terry Lee Brown Jr., The Timewriter, Dave Mothersole, Richard Grey... After taking a break from production for a couple of years he begins again with reproducing his pieces but this time in collaboration with artists like Rob Pearson [Evasive/Swag/Wiggle], Nils Hess [Eukatech/Wiggle], Derek Marin [Plastic City], Sean Danke [Affin], Gary Wood [Household], Tony Stevenson [Deep Site Recordings] and many more.
