 In the winter of 2012, James Mason and Jackson Wise recorded The Vantage's first single "On My Way" with producer Rob Freeman, he was paid by cash hustled out of drunk drivers after jumping in front of slow moving cars outside bars. The next year, they met up on Austin's Dirty Sixth St, teaming up with local talents Chase Graph and Colin Campbell for sweaty garage practices and all-night writing sessions, they even learned how to use hyphens. The Vantage started playing at the South by South West Music Festival and other indie venues in town. Now The Vantage returns from LA with a new EP "A Product of Imagination", recorded by Ethan Kaufmann, and in 2015 is going to blow out the speakers of at least 10 or 20 different stages to support the release. Look for The Vantage online or in concert this Spring as they colonize young minds with catchy songs like "Place in The Water" and "California State of Mind".
