Marco's explora ritmos ácidos profundos y avanzados que equilibran el enfoque tradicional con técnicas de escritura actualizadas, donde lo analógico y lo digital se combinan en armonía constante. 

"Road to P'Jem" es una sólida jam con sabor a techno belga de la vieja escuela, mientras que "Katra’s groove" tiene un profundo toque nocturno gracias a la emocionante melodía suspendida sobre un burbujeante bajo fm.

 El EP se completa con las improvisaciones de techno ácido uptempo “HyperUno” e “HyperDos” que terminan de hacer de este lanzamiento un esencial de 2021 con estos cuatro potentes tracks diseñados para freír una pista de baile.

EPM Podcast 143 is forged between the world’s of jazz and techno. Jon Dixon has not only become a key player within the Detroit Techno scene, playing with UR’s Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline and globally known techno artists but also with some the world’s most revered jazz players such as Chick Corea, Delfayo Marsalis, John Clayton, The Count Basie Orchestra and more. As a serious musician and player, Jon has for many years had a foot each firmly planted in both worlds of jazz and techno. Here, for the EPM Podcast Jon steers towards the more techno elements of the dancefloor as he plays a live set with keys featuring his own work alongside that of Floorplan, Kevin Saunderson and KiNK.

Ever since he could remember, Jon Dixon has had a passion for music. He began playing by ear at the age of four and has always enjoyed challenging himself by learning music in this manner. At the age of 15 he began reading and studying classical piano while enrolled at The High School For Fine and Performing Arts where he also studied Jazz. Upon graduating he began performing with the Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Detroit's own Godfather of jazz, the late Marcus Belgrave. While performing locally with this ensemble, he also attended Wayne State University where he studied jazz piano under Matt Michaels. 

As time went on, word of mouth began to spread about Dixon and his talents. While in college he accompanied The Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit as an accompanist/bandleader for their productions and concerts as well as performing all over the city and state. Jon currently teaches multiple group piano classes at the Michigan State University Community Music School in Midtown Detroit. He has had the chance to also play for/with Chick Corea, Jeff Hamilton, Robert Hurst, Delfayo Marsalis, John Clayton, The Count Basie Orchestra, Marcus Belgrave, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Leon Ware, Eric Roberson, Dwele, Amp Fiddler and more over the past decade. 

Jon has had the opportunity to not only lead the Underground Resistance live acts Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline, but has also performed with Interstellar Fugitives, Amp Fiddler, Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Derrick May, Francesco Tristano, Carl Craig, Goldie and more. Dixon is one of the city's most sought-after musicians for every genre ranging from jazz to techno. He believes that the more versatile and open minded you are at your craft, the further it will take you. 

Jon Dixon has been taking another approach towards music and production while currently working on various Hi-Tech Jazz projects. In 2015 he started an independent label, 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward) to focus on making electronic music fused with elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and other styles of music. "I feel that it is important for me as a musician to not only continue the rich culture and history of both jazz and electronic music but to also use my knowledge, theory and experience to combine the two and take both genres to the next level!"

Everything had been meticulously planned; the mission was destined to succeed. Pulling on to the motorway he felt a pang of adrenaline course through his body, his hands sweaty as he forcefully gripped the steering wheel. The clock struck midnight and off he raced, pedal to the metal under the bright glow of the orange-hued lamps. There was a lot of responsibility on his shoulders an no forgiveness if he came back empty handed.

Berlin's Erta Ale first made his debut on Alinka and Shaun J. Wright's Twirl! Recordings back in 2018 with the deep house bliss of 'For Real'. Now he's making a triumphant return with his 'Golden' EP which serves as a reminder of his dexterity as a producer. Bolstered by a remix from Will Automagic, one-half of the legendary New York outfit, The Carry Nation and fellow Twirl alumni the Majorettes project, the three originals are a wash of breakbeats and swirling arpeggios, peppered with acid and vocal touches.

They are building a house, half a block down. And I sit up here, with the shades down. Listening to the sounds, the hammers pounding in nails, thack, thack, thack, thack. And then I hear the birds, and thack thack thack, and I go to bed.
Charles Bukowski makes poignant poetry out of seemingly mundane things. It’s simple and considered as much as it is dark. The Fairlight House EP has the same appeal. Simple ideas that communicate with one another. The title track opens with strong drums and hypnotic arps. The bass enters and the track slowly builds towards the main synth line, reminiscent of the Fairlight CMI digital synthesiser.
Modulearic passes around motifs with just the right amount of space between them, offering tension and release throughout. Deep bass hits, swirling synths and strong drums make this one ideal for late nights and dark rooms.
The closing track Deephour Dimension gives the listener more open melodies and hypnotic background synths, this time with a broken beat backbone.
