Launching her new project RIIKI REID is an exciting new chapter for artist Raquel Abolins-Reid.  The multifaceted artist’s knowledge in both music and movement allows her to create catchy and intriguing music influenced by a range of genres – which is brightly highlighted in her new and upcoming releases. Her first project, RIIKI, released in 2019, quickly hooked fans with her powerhouse vocals and sugary, indie-pop sound. Single High Heights has had over 2 million streams, while other singles One Day, Share Your Luv, Good Times (#1 on the Hot NZ Singles Chart), In the Moment and One Day, have also enjoyed streaming success. She’s had significant radio play, playlist placements, media/blog attention, and industry recognition - signing with the world’s longest-running talent agency – WME, and Warner Music. Her industry credits include award-winning producer and engineer Simon Gooding (Dua Lipa, Pink, Drax Project), Wells* (Navvy, Thomston, Paige), and Alex Wildwood (The Veronicas, Broods, Earth Tiger). Her latest project is an electrifying furthering of craft by the young artist, birthed from a time of musical exploration throughout the pandemic. Channeling her love of alternative, 90s-indie-pop-rock (think Radiohead, DIIV and Björk), the first single Meet U Again includes her signature vocals, skillful songwriting, musicianship, and production.
