Tachibana Hokushi, whose real name was Tachibana Genjiro, was born in Kanazawa in 1665. Hokushi was one of Basho’s most famous students at the time, and he even accompanied the great master during part of his famous journey through the narrow roads of the North, from Kanazawa to Matsuoka.

floatin in the tide
salt water on ur thigh
notch an arrow,... caught tight in the catgut string
waitin on the headwinds to draw and fly

and I offered myself to the tell all crowds
keeping secrets (right out loud)
yea my lips unveil true meanings
censored bits to be intentional
but I need a better cleaning...
so I'm headed to the confessional
yea, so bless me father, gonna make me a sinner
float me on a funeral pyre
burn me in the timber
I'll sing for the choir
lookin dead...but I'm just tired of the shit that's being said
yayaya blablablaaaa
I would be ashamed if my mouth
was free ranging...sayin what I want

and like a midnight crawler
I'll take every last dollar...wait,
