Hybrid orchestral soundscape, a simple E minor chord progression played on both electronic and acoustic instruments:  5 synthesisers alternating with 4 bowed basses, 2 cellos and a violin.

Shida Yaba (1663-1740) was a haiku poet born in Fukui Prefecture. One of Bashō’s most famous Ten Disciples, he was also the editor of the poetry anthology Sumidawara (Charcoal sack, 1694).

This is a demo tune of my handcrafted raw Guitar Drones for your Ambient Productions in two different scales (a minor and e minor) as 24bit WAV samples.
The piece was improvised using a sampler only with the sounds of the pack.

Drones  Vol.1 Demo

My take on this was to use glitches or extraneous sounds that crop up in field recordings. These are usually edited out but here I extracted some from a couple of recordings and joined them to form a continuous sequence. After extending this sequence and adding a touch of reverb and delay I combined it with an evolving electronic drone.
