DJ Jock - Outspoken

DJ Jock returns to the label for his first solo EP after previously contributing to a Various Artist release on the imprint.

In addition to previously working with Unrilis he is also famed for his many tracks on Respekt Recordings, Suara, Intec, 1605
and Phobiq.

DJ Jock is based in Croatia where from the age of 17 he held down a residency at Pineta Beach Bar. Warming up for some of the
world's best-known DJ talent, he perfected his craft, and got first-hand experience of what made tracks work on the dance floor.

With a fine - tuned ear for picking out what makes the perfect techno track, his own productions are in hot demand with regular
supporters of his music including the likes of Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, Carl Cox, Richie Hawti
n and many
others.

The release opens with the original mix of 'Magia' which has an intensely hypnotic lead synth shrouded in dark atmospherics and layered over industrial percussion. Trak two 'Dawn Of The Red Sun' is stripped back with an epic euphoria an
d pounding percussion. 'Future War' is third on the release with dystopian pads and pulsating rhythms. Closing the release in the intro mix of 'Magia' which builds dramatic tension.

David Granha debuts on Unrilis with a new EP that's made in collaboration with label favourite Hollen.

Along with many releases on Unrilis, Hollen has also worked with other high-flying labels such as Intec, Filth On Acid, Tronic, 100% Pure and his own Prospect Records. Equally as successful, David Granha's tracks can be found on Odd Recordings, Octopus, Noir Music plus Phobiq, and he connected with Hollen via a release on his label.

This is the first time the pair have collaborated on original music, and their joint output is nothing less than exceptional, as their dark and powerful techno tracks are the perfect fusion of epic melody and pounding percussion.

'Try To Do It' blends ominous pads and swelling tension with a twisted euphoria, before 'Braided' takes control with its dystopian sound design. The pulsating rhythms of 'Alliance' bring an end of the night vibe to the EP. It's closed out with an intro mix of 'Try To Do It' that's the perfect tool for opening a DJ set in compelling style.

"In 2013, when I was in the Hardtechno / Schranz music scene, Monegros promoters asked me to play together with Instigator a special 170bpm 1 hour hardtechno set for the festival (yes, I was really hard before... ). Monegros was, for me, something like a dream. Playing in the middle of a Spanish desert was insane. So, I asked my girlfriend to come with me as she usually does to celebrate it and enjoy the party as much as possible. Usually, for us, celebrate a party is about drinking and dancing (and playing the dj set of course).... But, this night I (and she) did not drink at all... why??? Because 2 days before the festival we learned that my girlfriend was pregnant... So, even if it was one of the best party in my life, as a serious future daddy, and to show as much solidarity as possible, I only drank water on Monegros... It was a magical moment anyway and we celebrated it for the first time as three and not only 2 (Amalia, my daughter, was probably dancing during the whole night too... )” - Greg Notill

“So I had my very first gig just 1 month after I got in touch with music production and DJ’ing. I was living in Malta at this time and and didn’t really know how all this works. The club I was supposed to play was a reggae club originally, not prepared for this as the gig was part of a charity event and didn’t have any equipment for me to use, so I had to head back home and get my Ableton Push (my only hardware at this point) and come back and play my 1 hour set with it. Luckily I had done this a few times as I had no other controller at this time and it wasn’t too difficult for me. Everything worked out fine in the end and people were dancing and having fun. I will never forget the adrenaline flushing through my body when this guy came up to me and asked me, what I am going to use for my gig and pointed to my empty hands though.” - Vince Weyn

This nine track release touches on a variety of techno styles ranging from rave influenced cuts to clanging industrial percussion with hints of acid and bags of energy.
