Since 2005 Unrilis has been another outlet run by revered Italian producer Rino Cerrone, this time as a sub label of Rilis and a sister to Loose Records. The label has released EPs from Luigi Madonna, Sasha Carassi as well as Joseph Capriati and the boss himself, and the style roams from deep techno to rolling tech house and back again.  The big hitting DJ likes of Mark Broom, The Black Dog and Pig & Dan have all played and charted releases on this label, proving that it is one of the pillars of the modern day techno scene.

Marco Conte is a peak time techno producer who has also released music under the alias of Audiomatiques, and his new EP comes via the Unrilis record label.

This is only the second time that Marco Conte has released via Unrilis under his own name, but he has made numerous other Unrilis and Loose Records releases under the alias of Audiomatiques. He has also released Audiomatiques tracks on other highly respected record labels such as Codex, AnalyticTrail, Octopus and Respekt.

Based in Spain, Marco Conte’s style blends dark atmospherics and hypnotic synth lines with the driving energy of hard-hitting percussion.

"Backspace" gives the release an explosive opening with its brutal percussion and ominous synth lines, then "Taz 909" takes control with a stripped-back groove powered by fast-paced rhythms and dramatic bursts from the intense synth chords. The "Taz Is Back Intro" closes the release with a tension-building track that's full of suspense.

Zafer Atabey and OZBEK collaborate on an exhilarating peak time techno EP released via Unrilis, which also features a brooding remix by NoNameLeft.

This is the third time that Zafer Atabey has featured on Unrilis, and it's the first time that OZBEK has featured on the imprint. Prior to this release, Zafer Atabey and OZBEK had collaborated on releases for other prestigious techno record labels such as Set About and Ballroom Black, but they are also successful solo producers.

NoNameLeft are a Hungarian duo who have been turning heads with the enthralling techno tracks they have released on highly influential record labels such as Alula Tunes, Truesoul and 1605.

NoNameLeft's remix of "Back to the Old School" is a stripped-back version with added tension and a menacing lead synth.

Italian record label Unrilis continues its Rilis series with a hardgroove techno EP by veteran Spanish artist David Moleon.

David Moleon is one of Spain's most respected techno DJs and producers, famed for his captivating three deck sets, and exhilarating production style that fuses analogue synths with the flowing rhythms of raw percussion. With a back catalogue spanning nearly two decades, David Moleon's music has been a feature of record labels such as Dstm, Patterns and his own imprint Moop Up. Rilis was a series that was originally launched by Italian techno icon Rino Cerrone before his retirement from the music industry, and the record label was recently relaunched to support the music of those who share his passion for underground techno. 

"Tribal Hunt" opens the release with rolling conga hits and fizzing ride cymbals combined with jackin' vocal textures and deep synth chords, while the driving kick drum and rumbling bassline provide a solid foundation for the high-velocity groove.

"Soma" lifts the intensity with a freight train of a groove that orientates around the pulsating energy of an acid bassline and high-velocity percussion. The muffled tones of soulful vocal textures add to a ghostly synth line while the drums maintain a vigorous energy.

Rino Cerrone, the indomitable figurehead of Naples’ fertile techno scene, has a formidable reputation as one of the most consistent and prolific producers around. 

‘Man on Moon’ is Cerrone’s seventh release for his own Unrilis imprint and it’s the sort of belligerently driving affair that has cemented his lynchpin status in worldwide techno. 

Fusing guttural bottom-end and clinically executed percussion together is what Cerrone does best and that’s evident on ‘Man on Moon’ but it’s his steadfast approach to seemingly infinite tension building that is most apparent. From the distorted builds of the first half to the fever-pitch mechanics of the main drop ‘Man on Moon’ is a brutally effective piece.

Unrilis and parent label Rilis have been around for 13 years now, releasing outstanding techno from label owner Rino Cerrone and his close musical associates. For the imprint’s latest offering Unrilis has turned to Neapolitan DJ/Producer Sasha Carassi. Carassi has been producing first rate techno for over a decade now, releasing on labels such as Drumcode, Harthouse & Rekluse to name but a few. As well as working as a recording artist Carassi is also behind successful labels Globox & Phobiq and has travelled the world as a DJ featuring at key festivals and events across the globe.
This latest release kicks off with title track ‘Moka Xpress’, a stripped and driving slice of high intensity techno that fuses razor sharp percussion and speaker shaking bass with twisted FX to create a dark floorfilling monster. Next up we have label boss Rino Cerrone at the controls, remixing ‘Moka Xpress’ into an adrenaline fueled cut that brings the dark elements to the fore, creating an instant winner.

Italian techno imprint Unrilis returns with a brand new single from the heavyweight pairing of Markantonio and Roberto Capuano, featuring two sterling remixes from Luigi Madonna..
Rino Cerrone’s Rilis and Unrilis labels have been a staple of the techno landscape for over a decade now, releasing searing, floorfilling music from Cerrone and some of the scene’s leading lights. Now Unrilis looks again to techno heavyweight Markantonio for its latest single, a single that sees the Neapolitan DJ/producer team up with young production talent Roberto Capuano who has already had such success on labels such as Analytic Trail & Driving Forces.
This new EP opens with ‘Pearl’ a superbly hypnotic, pulsing techno workout that fuses rumbling bass tones with skittering percussion to create the base for the intense synth stabs that rise from the mix, quality stuff. ‘Pearl’ is followed by the second of the two original tracks ‘Gem’, which is a fitting title for this outstanding piece of techno: deep and aggressive, the track layers white noise over an industrial soundtrack to come up with a no holds barred record that ticks all the right boxes.
The EP is completed with two remixes of ‘Pearl’ from fellow Italian producer Luigi Madonna, a man who has been making a solid name for himself with releases on Marco Bailey’s MB Elektronics, Hawtin’s Plus 8 and Adam Beyer Drumcode to name but a few. First up we get the ‘Club mix’ that sees Luigi in full flight, dropping a version of ‘Pearl’ that is haunting and mesmerizing in equal measure, this is followed by the ‘Dub mix’ where things go deeper into the abyss, with a mix that strips things back and takes the listener beyond the realms of light.
Unrilis have another sterling release on their hands, delivered by some of italy’s best techno producers, enjoy!
