Never Let Me Go - Florence and the Machine

Vienna-based artist Michael René Sell created his 4-part music short film "Gerausch" in 2017, which reproduces Sell's personal experiences in the years 2010 - 2017 with stylistic elements of pop music. A time in which Western hedonism and the decadence associated with it were radically ended, regardless of body, soul and environment. Gerausch tells of the five pillars of identity (values, corporeality, material security, social network, work and performance), the collapse of the last four and the breaking out of the lethargy of nostalgia.

The third part of this cycle "Greta" he entrusted to the Cologne techno producer Dirk Sid Eno for a remix, who redesigned it in his very own way and thereby reduced it to the essentials. The new version was again for Sell occasion to further develop the original video for Greta in relation to Eno's remix and to free it from the corset of the music short film. The result is a musical visual dialogue between two artists about the mystery of the past without looking back.
