April 16th sees the inaugural Scottish House & Disco Festival landing at SWG3 in Glasgow, we are going to be covering the festival heavily in the coming month talking to many of the artists appearing at the event.

First up is Irish collective @queenanddisco and we can't think of anyone better to start proceedings. We have been keeping an eye on these renowned party starters for a few years now as they continue to build a reputation for their high octane mix sessions be it from their live events or their lockdown streams during the height of Covid.

Their appearance at the Scottish House & Disco Festival gives us the perfect opportunity to get them in for a long overdue chat about their career to date and what we can expect when we catch them live. To top it all off they have put together a barnstormer of a mix to kick off our festival mixtape series. Happy Holidays to all my followers, Listeners and supporters. I’d like to welcome you all to listen to my latest mix and It gives me great pleasure and I am excited to introduce my special guest mix for the show from DJ Ian Perry !! 

Ian has been DJing for over 20 years across many venues in London, with a huge passion for Disco, House and everything in between. He is well-known for being part of DJ duo DeepNDisco, with his long time friend, Nick Standen, beginning with a residency in 2016 at established Croydon night, Funkme. For the last 4 years they have been regulars at Up On the Roof at Brixton’s iconic Prince of Wales, playing alongside many of the scene’s biggest names including Dave Lee, Norman Jay MBE, Dimitri from Paris, Shapeshifters, Crazy P, Cj Macintosh and many more, while also co-hosting over 100 episodes of their fortnightly radio show on d3ep Radio network.

Heading their separate ways, Ian has been doing solo gigs, such as supporting Michael Gray at his new Sultra event, and has launched a very popular series of mixes on his Soundcloud page. We’re delighted to have Ian on the show, and we're sure you’re going to love his guest mix… it’s full of energy and a real mix across the house genres.

After 10 years, stopped mixing professionally. 
Influenced by the harmonic sound, beat and groove of Jazz, Soul, Funk and Disco music since very young.
Nowadays House Music is my preference but never forgetting that (old) sound that influenced all those new ones.
