We're super geeked to welcome Ninasupsa aka Nina Bochorishvili to the SS series this week. This immensely talented DJ is one of the founders of Mutant Radio and a resident DJ at Bassiani/Horoom in Tbilisi. Together with an impressive team consisting of Tata and many other talented individuals, this forward-thinking crew bootstrapped an online station and grew this into one of the most prominent platforms in the scene. It's set up in a wagon and located at a former power station in Tbilisi, Georgia.

While nowadays online presentation plays an important role in artists’ careers, there is still much more behind the veil of an Instagram profile that the agents have to care about. To elaborate on their approach to tackling social media’s traps and benefits, as well as to discuss various ins and outs of their business, we’ve invited four booking agents operating in different regions across Europe – often not sharing similar lever of access to the international waters nor structural development within their local scenes.

Meet Nikita Akimov aka Sinusoidal — a former resident of TESTFM radio, Yzeech, Blatant — who is next on our list of aspiring Eastern European artists we genuinely admire.

Sinusoidal has a flair for creating slow and moody tunes with a pinch of psychedelia, yet he manages to elevate the intensity to such a level that the end result is nothing short of a sophisticated banger. Apart from producing dancefloor heaters, Nikita is also busy crafting sound design for video games.

We discovered Sinusoidal via his first release on @pinkmanrecords back in 2020. Ever since we heard “Inner Implication”, it has remained a constant in our USBs. The same can be said about his latest album “Moral Decay” which came out earlier this year, again on Pinkman (great job, Patrick).
