"Unlike the other daytime curators, Lena Willikens chose to open La Sucrière's impressive main hall on Friday, playing alongside her usual back-to-back partner Vladimir Ivkovic. The two looked relaxed behind the decks, swaying, smoking and sometimes smiling. The crowd, less dense than during the other headliners due to the early start, were also in a good mood, using the extra space to feel out each beat of the slower selections. Much of the two hours felt like existing in the lagging moment of a sci-fi movie, just before a spaceship launches into warp speed (in a good way, I promise)."

Seattle-based CCL (@ccl-tuf) is a DJ, promoter and curator. They’re a founding member of TUF, a local collective focused on community-building and creating visibility for underrepresented artists in dance music. Known for bold musical choices, CCL blends a caleidoscope of rhythms, usually playing a mixture of deep, immersive breaks, electro, techno and bass music. Ahead of their Unsound Kraków 2019, CCL has prepared an exciting mix full of deep sounds, bookended by experimental Polish music from past and present. Enjoy!

Proudly presenting TPF–007 from upsammy, the singular Dutch artist with ears trained on the unknown.  

When we asked rising (and rising) star Peach to curate a night with us on November 1st 2019, she reached out to long-time friend and fellow Torontonian Club Fitness, and De School resident, upsammy. The latter, whose refined taste and genre-elasticity has been quietly garnering her a cult following in recent years, steps up to the plate from TPF–007, a live recording from her three hour warm up set that night. 

The result is one of the most imaginative and masterful early door sets we've had the pleasure to host at Pickle. Departing from the high-octane / tempo sounds upsammy often champions, expect a winding journey through dub, experimental bass, oddball techno and plenty more besides.

Katiusha's sound roams the plains of electronic music, exploring its furthest reaches and unearthing hidden gems; combine this with a complex blend of house, techno and hand-picked zesty UK flavours and you have something unmistakably hers, however, it's not just the selections that make Katiusha's sets and mixes so distinctive; it's her sharper sense and focus that creates a musical voyage completely her own and mix #215 for our series is a perfect example of this.

These days you'll find her in Berlin where she's been adding this unique sound to revered spots like Griessmühle, About:Blank, and Cashmere Radio, as well as international appearances at festivals such as Cosmic Roots and, of course, Dimensions Festival.

I thought it would be nice finally upload this to Soundcloud - It's a mix I did for Virtually Nowadays during lockdown in June. You would have only previously heard this if you were signed up to their Patreon, and it was originally released as an MP4 with beautiful visuals from Guillaume De Ubeda. Anyway, the tunes are still sounding as good as they did in June! Hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it back then! Something to help with the January blues anyway ;)

Leesh, aka Alicia Greco, a longtime purveyor of emotional dance music, has gig’ed around at some of our favourite parties in the midwest including Pittsburgh's @hot-mass and Detroit’s Movement Weekend Industry Brunch. She’s also put out mixes on some of our favourite platforms; @walkingandfalling, @acidcamp, and @ravescout Cookies to name a few. We are super honoured to host her today and the mix she’s crafted for us stays true to the emotional brand!

Leesh is not only a dj but also works tirelessly behind the scenes running the enormous @daisychain_podcast Platform. In her words, “Daisychain is a movement to showcase power, beauty, and strength of DJs and artists” featuring trans, gender nonconforming people and women in particular. Daisychain is a force in our greater community, hosting everyone from octo octa to past OE guests Rachel Noon, Darwin, and Davis Galvin, to even some OE residents themselves! We are so grateful and inspired for the energy and passion Leesh brings to the community with Daisychain ❤

In this mix, leesh takes us on a ride through soaring, shimmering synths and choice vocals all to the tune of an ever pounding drum. Emotional bangers indeed.

She's followed in the second hour by resident @ceremoniesdj playing a little slower than she usually does, weaving in and out of some uncharacteristic house music vibes, all while throwing in some tried and true bangers from hodge and minor science.
