WMD - Koi

Youth Mass are a four piece indie outfit from Trim. They have previously released one EP 'Misanthropy' and one single 'Tony Don’t You Worry' to critical acclaim which received much coveted stamps of approval from influential DJ’s such as Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio), Dan Hegarty (2fm), Paul McCloone (Today FM), Cathal Funge (Phantom FM), John Barker (98FM) and found themselves playlisted with Swedish giants Gimme Indie. The band were also privileged to have their song, Tony Don't You Worry, appear on the sound track of Christian Slater's 2012 motion picture, "Playback".

After prestigious shows including supporting The Naked and Famous in the Olympia Theatre and playing last year's Electric Picnic festival, Youth Mass spent 2013 slaving away writing and recording their debut album.

With their studio work now complete and with an eagerness to share the sounds from their forthcoming debut album, 2014 began with the release of a brand new video for lead single 'Dream On' which was directed by renowned director, Bob Gallagher (see below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQDRXGbso5k), an appearance on Una Mullally's popular TG4 show "Ceol ar an Imeall", followed by shows in The Roisin Dubh, The Spirit Store and Dublin's Mercantile. The band are also excited to announce that 'In Slow Motion', one of the songs from their debut album, is to be used as the feature song in soon to be released Irish horror movie, 'The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann', by award winning director Jason Figgis and will be accompanied by a new music video.

The band will be kicking off summer 2014 by playing Whelan's main room to launch the album on April 10th, with support on the night coming from the excellent Dublin trio, Other Creatures.
