The Tapestry are from Manchester. They are Liam Faherty (vocals/guitar) Katy Baker (Bass/vocals) Dyna (Guitar/vocals) and Zara Finnegan (Drums/vocals). Their tunes are both impossibly catchy and implausibly glamorous.

It's early days, but so far the guys have got stuck in to recording their debut album with Mr. Jim Spencer (Johnny Marr, New Order and The Charlatans) and cutting their teeth live. So far they've managed to attract the approval of Liam Gallagher.

“He showed up at a London show recently, we had a chin wag backstage and he was a total gent. Later we got the 'Fucking tune!' seal of approval.”

Matthew Herbert, Rolando, Rick Wade and DJ Sneak. That's just a bundle of names who've released on UK house label Hudd Traxx since Slum Science (Eddie Leader, Danny White and Dan Ruck) sparked it into life in 2005.

Huddersfield-based (the clue's in the name, really), the label's synonymous with fresh-flavoured jams geared towards the dancefloor, while its mix series on SoundCloud, Huddcast, guarantees you'll be frantically trying to hunt down track IDs.

The Hummingbirds - Emma

“Paris, Lisboa” is therefore an attempt to recreate some of the city landscapes of those great places, resorting to the sounds most familiar to them. Alfama is a street maze… and fado. Montmartre, with its coffee shops, its slopes … the boheme passing on bikes. And St Germain Boulevard, with the people sitting outside, the traffic, the movie theaters. Book shops in Chiado, the long bridges …

Songs inspired by these images. An attempt to bring them closer to the listener, at least a little bit. And specially music that tries to go beyond borders; that tries to keep you company along other walks and lanscapes, in many other hoods of many other cities.

Boulevard St Germain

Riot Jazz Brass Band hail from the grimy protoplasm of Manchester’s prolific creative scene. Since 2008, they have been spreading unconditional love and irresistable energy across the nation and continent. 


The 9-strong troupe is comprised of three trumpets, three trombones, drums, sousaphone, and fronted by the prodigious MC Chunky. The sheer enjoyment and passion which emanates from these musicians as they party on stage is as infectious as it is inspiring. 


Be prepared for a unique, genre-bending exhibition of exhilarating music fit for any occasion, guaranteed to have even the most stoic audience member on their feet and dancing like no-one is watching. 


Their original material knows no bounds; drawing from jazz, hip-hop, drum’n’bass, Balkan, trap, grime, dubstep, Latin, classical, they write and play whatever their collectively large heart desires. And the same goes for covers, which range from Britney to Bon Jovi, Shaggy to Blink 182.


This astonishing versatility and insatiable hunger to explore all corners of the musical spectrum has led to collaborations with a wide variety of artists, such as London Elektricity, Swindle, Plan B, and Skinnyman.


Highlights from their career so far include Glastonbury West Holts, WOMAD, Jazz Sous Les Pommiers, Love Supreme, and Canary Wharf Jazz Festival.
