J. Peacock is back for the Dirt Crew Summer take over once more! After his last collab release with Laurence Guy on “Shall Not Fade” in March this year we are delighted to welcome him again with four new deep and funky tunes.

“I’m Doing Just Fine”  is all about the strings. There's a certain feeling in northern soul records – cinematic, bittersweet – and sampling that energy became the starting point for the whole EP. On this track, the vocal hides just behind the strings, giving it a hazy feel. A loopy, dreamlike cut nods to the 2016 lo-fi house era. “Keep Running ” has a swelling, string-led groove built around a hypnotic soul sample. “Deep Burnt” is one of J. Peacock’s all-time favourite tracks and a big influence here. Urgent and euphoric, a driving rhythm with strings to carry the emotional weight.

“Can’t Go Nowhere” is a slower, more restrained moment on the EP. Inspired by the likes of Cottam, Mark E, and Tiger & Woods, this is a chugging, early-hours builder made for warm-up sets and low ceilings. A nod to the art of holding back just enough to keep people moving. “Hometime” brings together two of his favourite things: dusty soul samples and the raw grit of the MS-20. The analogue synth gives the track it’s edge, the bassline is constantly shifting and alive while the smoothness of the sample keeps everything in check.

Loz Goddard steps into new sonic territory on his Physical Education debut—delivering four machine-driven cuts rooted in analog hardware sounds, with high-energy rhythms and dancefloor intent. Leaving behind the sample-heavy textures and live instrumentation of previous releases, this EP leans more into synthesizers and drum machines, channelling the pulse of classic club gear with plenty of added bounce. Subtle nods to the sounds and moods of 90s and early 2000s video games add a nostalgic digital sheen—balancing playfulness, drive and warmth in equal measure.

Federation JI is the new project from Icelandic producer Felix Leifur and Japanese artist Daichi Saito. Known for his house, electro, and techno releases, Felix stepped away from the club circuit to challenge himself creatively, diving into live instruments and a wider range of songwriting. Over two years, he explored a palette shaped by ’70s/’80s jazz-funk and ’90s experimental rock, inspired by his dad’s old Japanese pressings and a love for exploratory sounds.

A chance meeting with Daichi in Copenhagen revealed a hidden thread of Japanese influence in the music, leading to a close collaboration. Daichi’s shimmering synths and textured keys reshaped the songs, adding a futuristic, dreamlike layer to Felix’s heavy grooves and emotive guitar work.

The album moves through slow-burning funk, cinematic textures, dreamy Rhodes melodies, and bursts of ’90s rock energy, balancing playful moments with deep, nostalgic undertones. From the warped guitar loops of Digital Súpa to the organ-driven drift of Sálmar & Suð, Federation JI is a conversation between two distinct musical worlds.

The result is something unexpected: Japanese/Icelandic future funk, soaked in atmosphere, groove, and emotion.

Italo Deviance (real name Marcello Giordani) began his artistic journey in the 1990s in Italy, during the height of the House Music phenomenon. He was an avid attendee of record fairs, always on the hunt for USA-style Disco vinyl, amassing an extensive collection. He also performed at some of Italy's best parties, such as Cocoricò, Echoes, Matis, Kinki and more.

In the early 2000s, he developed a passion for and began collecting Italo Disco vinyl, often for just a few cents. In 2008, he founded a blog called Italo Deviance with the mission of promoting the most obscure tracks and versions of early 1980s Italian dance music.

From 2011 to 2023, he became part of the duo Marvin & Guy, which has since evolved into Circle Point Circle. At the start of 2024, Marcello resumed work on his label, Italo Deviance Music, embarking on a rebranding effort. This new phase explores underground electronic music without sticking to a specific genre, discovering and producing talented artists in both digital and vinyl formats. He places no particular emphasis on their social media hype, focusing solely on the music.

This philosophy gave rise to the motto: "Italo Deviance, where only the music matters."
