Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2005 album Staring Into Space, Glaswegian duo Silicone Soul present a Darkroom Dubs reissue featuring two pivotal remixes that helped define the album’s legacy. 

Leading the charge is Ewan Pearson’s electrifying remix of The Poisoner’s Diary - a masterclass in sonic transformation. Pearson channels raw new wave urgency into the original, fusing its proto-dark disco leanings with climactic synth flourishes and machine-gun claps. The result marked a creative breakthrough for Pearson and added a defining edge to Silicone Soul’s catalogue, foreshadowing the darker aesthetic that would come to shape European dancefloors.

The vocal version adds another layer of intensity with the haunting delivery of Stuart Gray (from Glasgow indie band Viva Stereo). His stark post-punk refrains narrate a chilling gothic tale of emotional unravelling, an allegory for love’s collapse.

Adding further weight to this anniversary package, Berlin’s Dirt Crew deliver a powerful rework of Inferno. Amplifying the original's deep dub foundations, they lay down an irresistible Italo-disco bassline while framing the timeless toast, 'What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul?’ This is a remix that balances spiritual gravitas with dancefloor intensity, a reminder of Dirt Crew’s signature touch during their own breakthrough years.

These remixes have been lovingly remastered by Conor Dalton (Glowcast Audio) from the original DATs, giving DJs, collectors, and new listeners a fresh chance to experience two standout reinterpretations from the Silicone Soul archive. Twenty years on, they remain as vital as ever.

A special collaboration with Partout records from Paris. Break 3000 dug deep in the archives for this one and found some old unreleased music on his dusted DAT tapes ranging from 1993 to 2002. Now released for the first time ever on vinyl 12" and digital.

"Human" and "Komputerok" were produced in the same project in his Maastricht bedroom studio back in 2002 and reflect to the great influence artists like David Caretta and The Hacker had on his sound back then; a mix of banging Electro Clash meets EBM, '80s Proto House.

"Overdrive" opens the B-side and a window to the late '90s. This track was produced together with his classic "Plastique People" around '98/'99 and was an instrumental track luckily found again. Break 3000 added a new vocal and made a fresh shorter edit. Thanks to the excellent mastering by Salz Music this one is back in today's sound standards.

The next pearl from the past is a real favourite and is the oldest track featured on this EP. "Ambizone" was recorded back in '93/'94 and marks the transition from his first musical project, Amazone to becoming Break 3000. Recorded in an amazing analogue studio in Venray (Netherlands) where Break 3000 worked on a full album. More music will follow from these old sessions! Stay tuned.

The EP closes out with "Nature", a true homage to the early Rephlex sound and produced around '97/'98. Acts like Bochum Welt, D'arcangelo and µ-Ziq had an immense influence on Break 3000 and are a reason why he started to make more electro orientated music.

Break 3000 has been a DJ since the early 90s and is looking back at over 30 years of DJ and Production experience now. Releasing on labels like KK Records, Nova Zembla, Meuse Muzique, Pocketgame, Lasergun, Trapez, MBF, Mood Music and of course his own Dirt Crew Recordings. Most recently launched "Electron Feel" to revisit and re-release old goodies from his vault and new Music! in 2023 also started to work with new up and coming labels “Calypso’s Dream” from Argentina and “Mondo Phase” from Italy to do special vinyl only re-issues of the classic big hitters and unreleased tracks from the early 00s Era.

From time to time Fortunea Records gives us the chance to highlight and welcome new faces. And this one is Petals In Sound!

Louise Baldwin is a UK-based producer and DJ. After over a decade of living, working and partying in South East London, she relocated to Crosby in Liverpool. Following a number of years experimenting with music production, she finally found her groove during the 2020 Covid lockdown. In October 2020, she released under her moniker the well-received debut EP 'Palace’ on Boyanza Records, gaining support from the likes of NTS Radio and the Sloth Boogie Radio Show. Many releases on labels such as Closer To Truth, Dirt Crew and Inhale Exhale followed.

Louise playfully attacks the fabric of deep house, pushing and pulling the genre into modern territory with clever and precise production techniques. And now she will release her first vinyl record on the Austrian imprint. The ‚Days‘ EP includes 4 original tracks and a remix by the Vienna-based dj and producer Dzc.. Hypnotic rhythms and well crafted deepness defines this record.

Petals In Sound’s ‚Days’ EP will come out on december 19th. All tracks have been mastered by Patrick Pulsinger. The vinyl is limited to 200 copies and there will be no repress!

Fangen Spielen ist an ein Morgen glauben, wenn man heute nicht mehr kann und loslaufen, wenn man vollkommen fest steckt. Das hört sich sehnsuchtsvoll, emo, rotzig und kämpferisch zugleich an.
