The issue of mental health in Northern Ireland is a complicated one, the multi-generational trauma brought on by the troubles, coupled with years of austerity have resulted in a complex and struggling system. The pandemic has also led to an increase in feelings of hopelessness, with isolation and uncertainty often over-shadowing signs of progress. At times however, conflict can inspire, unite, and while there is a long way to go, some collectives continue to put one small step forward despite having one of the toughest years of our lives.

MINDS has been an advocate for Mental Health in the city for over three years, but with the closure of clubs and no longer able to raise money through events - the crew have come together to produce a genre-merging V/A - combining their passion for collaboration, mutual aid and community spirit."
