Emma Wilde (b.1991) was born in Manchester, UK and is currently based in Mexico. She completed a PhD in Composition  at the University of Manchester. Her music explores dramatic contrasts and juxtapositions and is influenced by other cultures and art forms, including the paintings of Kandinsky and Latin American rhythms.

She has recently had works comissioned by ensembles and festivals such as the New London Children´s Choir, London Sinfonietta, Soundstate Festival 2019 Southbank Centre, St Andrews Voices Festival 2019 (Scotland) and Morelia Music Festival 2019 (Mexico). 

Emma has worked with renowned ensembles such as the London Sinfonietta, London Symphony Orchestra (Panufnik Composers Scheme 2017), Britten Sinfonia (whilst she was shortlisted in the OPUS 2016 composition competition), the Hebrides Ensemble, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Muses Trio (Australia) and Psappha.

Emma is a finalist in the Royal Overseas League Composition Award 2020 in association with London Sinfonietta. She was awarded the Premio Nuestra America 2017 (Our America Prize) for her string quartet Tijax which resulted in performances from Cuarteto Jose White in Mexico during 2018. She was also the winner of the St Andrews New Music Ensemble/Scottish Chamber Orchestra Call for Scores 2017.

Emma's music has been featured in festivals including the St Magnus Festival 2013 (Orkney, UK) the New Music North West Festival 2012 and 2015 (RNCM, Manchester, UK), Festival de Composición UANL 2016 (Monterrey, México), Foro Internacional de Música Nueva Manuel Enríquez 2019 & 2017 (Mexico City, Mexico), Women in the Creative Arts Conference 2017 (ANU, Canberra, Australia) and the Horizon Festival of Arts & Culture 2017 (Queensland, Australia).

Her work El Hilo del Tiempo, released on NMC Recordings, was broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and is featured in the Spotfiy curated playlist 'Rise of the Classical Accordion'.

Aaron Einbond’s work explores the intersection of instrumental music, sound installation, field recording, and technology, bringing the spontaneity of live performance together with computer interactivity. Recently Chicago-based Ensemble Dal Niente released his portrait album Without Words on Carrier Records, and SWR Experimentalstudio produced his Giga-Hertz prizewinning Cartographies for piano with two performers and electronics for the 47-loudspeaker Klangdom at ZKM in Karlsruhe. He teaches Music Composition, Sound, and Technology at City University London and is Co-Artistic Director of Qubit New Music Initiative with whom he curates and produces experimental media in New York.
