Jermaine, known to many as Selecta J was born in Nassau the capital of the Bahamas. As a child Jermaine fell in love with music as his father and uncle introduced him to albums from numerous Reggae, Hip Hop and Pop artists.

   As a college student in Missouri Jermaine began to hone his skills as he often would Dj for campus events/ parties. Jermaine began his DJ career in his early 20’s however he did not take it serious until his late 20’s. Having returned home Jermaine would then go on to Dj at several events and venues in Nassau.  He gained experience through the tutelage of living legends such as Dion “the Butcha” , “Dj Fines” and “Xtra Large”. Jermaine also learned from his peers such as Dj Sharp Killa , Dj Rich Dat and Dj Todd Stylez.

   Jermaine’s extensive music library consists of Soul, RNB, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Pop and many more. He has entertained crowds at some of the most well-known clubs/lounges in Nassau such as: Primetime, Last Stop, High Tide, The Gourmet Grill and the Boom Boom Room. Jermaine also has had the fortune of playing for many corporate events namely “Party at the Pointe” alongside Dj Ovadose.

    His talents have granted him the opportunity of becoming an International DJ, receiving bookings throughout the Bahamas and the US.
