With ‘Seasons’, I wanted to make a fresh melodic house tune, ready to be played both at a bar and at a festival / club setting. That’s why I followed a structure with two distinctive breaks and drops, like some previous tunes of mine (e.g., ‘Nomore’). I think the end result is pretty straightforward, and the vibes are optimistic. And that’s what house music is all about, isn’t it? 🔘

With a classical piano training background at Chalandri's National Conservatory (A' Anotera / B' Solfège) and a 1st Prize at XON’s Panhellenic Piano Competition (2007), Athens-based musician John Rigas turned to electronic music production, after attending a Martin Garrix show at Paradise Club Mykonos (2015). With studies at SAE Athens, under the guidance of the acclaimed Greek DJ Sparky T (2016) and at Grey Studios Athens, under the influence of Armada Music producer HitTheBass (2017), John released his first track as Riscape in 2020, the electrifying ‘Persistence’ (Not Giving Up). 
In the summer of 2021, Riscape was officially part of the up-and-coming Dutch record label Mystery Freedom Records (@mysteryfreedom). His first releases with the label include the summer track 'The Groove Is Coming' and the expressive tune 'Can't Resist You'. In 2023 he released his first EP 'Unity' and in 2024 his second EP, 'Two x S'. 

As Riscape, John also hosts the radio show 'Riscape Reality Radio' (@risc-real), in which he blends his favorite dance tunes with his own music.

Riscape's tunes have been featured in several acclaimed Spotify playlists, including Correr (EDM Joy), Heavy Rotation (Sirup Music) and Dance Top Hits (Spinnin' Records). They have also received radio and blog support, as well as praise from world-renowned electronic music producers/DJs.
