This remix was originally commissioned to "not sound like a remix."  They wanted it to sound a little thicker and to add a twist to it somehow.  The twist came by squeezing a few drops of jazzy juice from the tender tenor saxophone of John Juster, LA house music legend.  To see John slink around a dance floor is one thing, but to hear him become the panther is quite another.

Cutting my ravers teeth in the middle of a P.L.U.R. world I fell in love with The Chem's back in the 90's.  When their latest album dropped, I have to admit I was excited...until I listened through to the whole thing and discovered it was a bit more artistic than I was hoping.  With that being said, I did find about 30 seconds of unmitigated funk within the song "No Reason" that simply had to have something done with it.  We took it into the shop, chopped off the bumpers, stripped down the paint and put on a fresh coat of funky vocals, compliments of the timeless and delicious diva, Loleatta Holloway.  Dang this is gritty!!!

It was devastating for so many when the Colorado regional burning man event (Apogaea) was shut down halfway through the event this year. It was mere hours before I was to play a big Friday night set at Happy Tap. I put in a ton of prep work for it, so it was brutal news. In the Burning Man spirit, we made the best of it by putting up our sound system at home when we returned because my girlfriend said she really wanted to hear it and she was so sweet to support me. So we turned our apartment into burner vibes, gathered a small audience, and I'm so glad we decided to throw a couple cameras up. We had so much fun with it and hope you do too.

Just after that, a big opportunity popped up to also play it at Beacon for our 2nd Half of Halfogaea. Hope you enjoy dancing, working out, cleaning, whatever you do to this. Much love to everyone who supported, means so much to me. <3
